Restaurante Ca Mezquida — Restaurant in Altea

I first ate here in 2018 a couple of times and again in 2019 and always delicious. This is the first time I have been back since and it surpassed every expectation! When we arrived there was 13 of us, ( 6 kids). She asked us did we know we only do Moroccan food and we said we did as we have been before but she was only concerned because of the kids but she said she would do chicken and lamb skewers with fries for the kids. She then Suggested we do a taster or platter of starters and a selection of Tagines for main between us all. I have had many many meals in some wonderful restaurants in Altea but hands down this has to be the best I have ever had here ! The flavours, portion sizes, service, the meat was absolute melt in your mouth. I can’t praise here enough. If you happen to be in Altea, even just passing through for a lunch pay this place a visit. Make an effort with your Spanish and they will make an effort with there English and it will be an experience you won’t forget. My family are very big into their food and they said if they could give 7 stars they would. Thank you so much for the experience and the suggestion of us having a mix of all there dishes. We will be back sooner rather than later. And the €20-€30 spend per head included our drink of which we had a few....

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this authentic Moroccan restaurant in Altea, and I must say – what an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by the owner, whose kindness and passion for his restaurant truly shine through.

The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated, transporting us straight to Morocco with its rich colors, traditional touches, and soothing music in the background. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a unique dining experience.

Now, the food… simply outstanding! Every dish we tried was full of flavor, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The spices, textures, and aromas were all spot on – you could tell a lot of love and tradition goes into the cooking here. Whether you’re already a fan of Moroccan cuisine or trying it for the first time, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I travel for pleasure very often. We stumbled upon La Mezquita and are so happy we did. Ca Mezquita is in the top two of our favorite restaurants we enjoyed during the 10 days we visited Spain.
