In the coastal town of Albir, where the hustle of the tourist crowd makes restaurants vie for visitors' attention, there is a true gem - an Italian restaurant where you feel like a long-awaited guest. This place has left an indelible impression in our hearts.
As we entered the restaurant, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of a genuine home. The warm and cozy ambiance immediately transported us to an Italian village, where time flows slowly and every guest is treasured. The enchantment of Italian hospitality undoubtedly resides here.
The cuisine of this establishment delighted us with exquisite Italian dishes, and we savored each culinary masterpiece. But what truly stood out to us were the pastas - Setas y Salchichonas (meat-based) and Alnesas (made with small shells) - simply divine! The delicate shells, caressed by delectable sauces, made us forget about everything else, indulging in this heavenly taste. Upon your request, the waiter kindly replaces or adds any ingredients to suit your taste, even if they deviate from Italian traditions.
The owner of the restaurant deserves special gratitude. His genuine love for his work permeates every detail - from the dishes, through the service, to the homely ambiance. He has created a place where every guest feels cared for and attended to, which is truly precious in such a popular tourist destination.
Our family dinner in this restaurant became a true celebration for our palate and soul. We are grateful to this place for the enchanting journey into the world of authentic Italian cuisine and hospitality. We will gladly return here again and again to relish in this unique experience. If you are seeking a place where you can feel at home and enjoy exquisite Italian dishes, this restaurant is an...
Read moreI visited this restaurant tempted by the high ratings, but unfortunately it was quite a disappointment. The pastas are very poor - especially those with the pistachio sauce, which is greasy and the fat completely kills the flavour of the pistachios. The pasta with prawns and tomatoes was tasteless and the ragù paste resembled the cheapest bolognese sauce from the shop. Vitello tonato is absolutely discouraged and other starters such as ricotta or buratta are fine to eat, but don't expect fireworks.
The desserts do not impress either - they are bland and lacking in flavour. The service seems untrained, which further spoils the experience. Overall, the food is below average and the restaurant's high rating is highly misleading. Average pastas in an average restaurant. I don't understand how other guests can mislead by rating this place high. Absolutely do not recommend - a place not...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant because of the high ratings, which we can’t confirm. The staff was not welcoming and helpful, also the dishes very much below the expectations for the previously given good ratings. Printed menu was not given, the menu on the web is not properly and fully translated into English, the only waiter was not taken his time to make recommendations or explanations. The child of the cook was playing loud his computer game and trying to cut green apples on a plastic bag. An other family member or friend came in with a dog shouting over the counter into the kitchen. It was the only authentic touch that remained us on Sicily. The food was not a waw at all, the courgettes flowers were too fatty, the octopus very rubbery, the pasta with meatballs and mushrooms saw only traces of some tasteless overcooked mushrooms, the sauce was not properly...
