Restaurante Leila — Restaurant in Antequera

It definitely is a lovely spot, but being on the main road can be noisy. The inside is very beautiful and very Spanish. Booked in for a evening meal as it was myself and the hubby's 10 year wedding anniversary. We actually live in Spain (nearby), but thought we would treat ourselves. The food coming out looked fabulous but....... We arrived at 8pm and finally got our food at 9. I initially wanted the monkfish dish, but it had sold out 😢. So we both went for a pork dish. Well, we were given steak knives and we couldn't cut it! We did complain and we were given the same dishes again, which was very good, but the next one was leaching blood all into the sauce. Not good. So, we ended up having nothing to eat at all. We were offered pudding, but was there for a meal not a sweet. They did try and make it up to us, but did spoil the evening for us. The wine was very good though. Unfortunately can't add any...

Very good service, excellent food! Great experience we were a group of 8 from Italy, we choose the restaurant by chance, we all ate different dishes ( samlmon, stokfish, pampkin soup, chicken salad,salad, cordero and also tradicional dessert made of almonds cinnamon and suger), all of them were delicious prepared with fresh products of quality, presented with elegance and cooked with a mixed of tradition and innovation .We ended the dinner with tea and mint so good !!!! Very Fair price ( I think is cheap, I ate awfull food for same price) and very clean...

Had nice coffee and cake. The waiter was NOT friendly at all. Seems like a trend in Antequera. Starting dismantling the furniture and parasols around us as we were chatting. A bit of customer service would be nice. Nobody wants a welcoming committee but some basic courtesy would be nice. I was raised to say "Please and "Thank you" and to be courteous and helpful. Maybe my expectations are too high. The quality of the coffee and cake and the location and the so on is the reason for 4 stars, maybe the guy was having...
