If Palm Mar sunsets are your thing then La Lapa is the perfect place to kick back with a drink and enjoy yourself. However if it is good food you are seeking then be prepared to eat 'average'. As you enter this beautifully located restaurant you are hit with the smell of unclean filters which is quite overwhelming, for me personally I would have left immediately. Menu is typical Canarian food so we knew our way around and what to expect. So, we had garlic prawns described as average and very anemic, breaded brie which we all know is out of a packet but the strangest of presentations ( small triangles of bread on a plate of lettuce), prawn cocktail with banana, sweetcorn and shredded carrot in the sauce, sardines which there were plenty but just seemingly dumped on the plate, lapas traditionally presented and apart from a hint of curry were nice and finally chicken escalope and chips and to their credit were homemade. All in all the food was acceptable but for whatever reason it all felt a little strange. Service, I am certain that this is a restaurant where waiters are put out to grass, old, grumpy and just indifferent to their clients. This is a restaurant given its location should be aiming to be the best in Palm Mar instead it is mired in the mediocrity of all the others in the village. In summary. Food average, presentation lacks care Atmosphere not a great deal Service, if you wish to feel invisible this is the place for you. Prices in line with others offering similar fayre. All in all I personally will never visit La Lapa again but I can see why others will...

When we asked to pay, the waiter finally brought the card machine, walked up with a tough, expressionless look, typed in the amount without saying a single word, and gestured for us to pay without looking at us. We felt deeply disrespected....
