Sweet Frank's — Restaurant in Arona

Rude desaliñado (unkept, dirty workwear) staff. No physical menu just a QR code and no WIFI and poor attitude when you ask about this. Opening hours are not up to date.

Edited to add: I politely asked for a menu or if they have WiFi and was met with the same bad attitude as the reply below but both gentlemen look like they couldn’t beat their way out of a wet paper bag so the attitude really surprised me. I will not be buying an additional internet package to come to your sub par restaurant but appreciate this advice. When I called the staff appearance ‘scruffy’ I am referring to the fact you all have discoloured workwear. My clothes were definitely clean but again, I appreciate your advice. As for the aesthetic of the ‘restaurant’ (tables on a sidewalk) the out of shape staff leaning over the railings to smoke and vape definitely does wonders for your business. Apologies for asking for a menu in a dining establishment, how rude of me. I definitely will have a good day and trip around the island and you’re welcome for the photographs and honest review. We had high hopes for this place but couldn't help feel disappointed. We had to wipe down the dirty high chair that was given to us. The pancakes offering various toppings caught our attention. The menu stated to ask the waiter what other toppings were available from the chocolate stated on the menu....nothing else was available, not even fruit 🤔 We opted for bagels but upon ordering were told no bagels or waffles were available, only toast.

We ordered pouched eggs on toast with avocado, cream cheese, basil olive oil. The little one had pancakes and chocolate.

The pouched eggs on were a little slimmy for our liking however the dish tasted nice with the basil oil and cream cheese.

The Latte coffee was served in a beer drinking glass which I thought was weird but it tasted nice.

We both had minor stomach aches after the food but nothing serious. We assumed was attributed...

Arrived at half empty café at just after 6pm (so two hours before closing time). Asked for coffee, politely. Was told (brusquely) « no, no coffee, coffee finished. » Seems odd that a place that advertises itself as a Coffee Shop doesn’t do coffee in the early evening. The few customers having a beer seemed happy enough. Can’t speak to the quality of the food and drink, as I wanted coffee and there was none, but staff/owner not welcoming.

Edited to say that the opening hours are until 7pm not 8pm, sorry, my mistake. So the coffee service is stopped one hour before closing time. The owner was not welcoming or apologetic about the service. And I would advise anyone with doubts to read the replies to all other negative comments, apparently all negative reviews come from...
