Bar Manolo — Restaurant in Arzúa

Dishonest. I asked for a menu and the waiter said he didn't have any. He starts naming things he has. I go for bacon, eggs and fries and a glass of Estrella. Received a plate of grease. Go to the bar to pay. Behind the bar I see there is a stack of menus, and he opens one to check the price but makes sure I can't see. Charges me €9. Tells me to pay by card it's a €10 minimum. I give him cash. I get no reciept. In my experience, this is way too much for 1 plate and a beer. For €10 I could have got a 3 course pilgrim's menu at a restaurant...

Absolutely horrible service. Went in for flan and coffe and we were rudely informed there was no flan, offered custard instead which we accepted. Server, a rather round lady, never smiled, spoke harshly and treated us like we had bothered her just by coming in. I suggest pilgrims and out of town folk move down the street to the next cafe. Aún estoy alucinando: toda la vida visitando Arzúa y este año, que decido hacer el Camino De Santiago y cenar “en casa” me he sentido engañado. Éramos dos personas y hemos decidido picar muy poquita cosa: un poquito de queso y zorza, acompañado de 1 cerveza.

Primero el camarero nos canta la carta sin enseñarla y al final, cuando le pedimos la cuenta, nos dice el total sin traer el ticket con el precio que le ha dado la gana y completamente fuera de los precios de la zona. Se pensará que ha triunfado “engañando” a dos más.

Me da pena que con actitudes como las de este restaurante se manche el esfuerzo de tanta gente en tantísimos restaurantes, comercios y locales hosteleros en general, que ponen todas sus ganas por agradar y tratar bien al Peregrino para mantener un sector del que vive.

Todo esto con la mascarilla por la garganta y sin amago de ponérsela bien en ningún momento.
