The entire experience at Cass Cheli was wholly disappointing from start to finish. To start, we were coldly and tersely greeted when we walked in, making us feel like as if we didn't belong even though we had a reservation (the general demographic at the restaurant was much older than my group's age). After we were seated, it took our waiter 13 minutes to come by to ask for our drink order, then another 9 minutes to actually bring us our order. When we were ordering, the waiter appeared visibly annoyed at our lack of understanding of the menu and provided zero value in his answers to our questions. As for the food, it was frankly terrible. The atmosphere was great and we were thrilled to be able to eat al fresco! The menu included classic, local Galician dishes and there was an excellent wine list. We shared a selection of starters, roasted red peppers on tostada, anchovies in oil, chestnut and bacon empanada, chiperones, white leek, a cheese board, and cheesecake. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, I think his name was Marcos. We fancied a salad, which wasn't on the menu that day, but he still served us one at a great price.
The foie toast was spectacular, and my family also enjoyed the sopa de fideos. The croquettes and homemade cheesecake were also a highlight for me.
