Restaurante Naveira

On arrival one got the impression that Uk customers were not welcome, the maitre de completely ignored us because she could not converse with our minimal Spanish. Eventually a waitress seated us. The drinks selection was minimal but the important part, the menu was quite good. We chose paella obviously, what else in Spain? The meal was very average, it had obviously been cooked earlier and lacked any moisture but it was probably very good when it was originally cooked. It was quite tasty. Sadly the waitress failed to tell us the pan had been in the oven hence I received 2nd degree burns to my fingers, to add insult to injury when I commented on it she reached behind the bar for a well use tube of burn cream. Perhaps I wasn’t the first victim. The restaurant is well situated and quite modern, it desperately needs some staff training and a warning when a dish is too hot to handle.
