Came for dinner tonight. Menu pretty basic. Good selection of pizza. My wife ordered the chicken swarma. It had old rotten lettuce in. She didn’t eat any. When the nice bartender cleared the plates he asked if it was ok? I pointed out the rotten salad leaves. He said that they were fine and it’s just where it had been in the oven. Ha! This hostel is fantastic! The owner Ibon was so helpful and patient. He answered all my questions before I came and trust me I had a lot! He even organised my transport from the airport. When the transport fell through he came to pick me up himself at 23.00 on a Friday when his restaurant was super busy!

I can't express how impressed I was with this hostel. It was so accomodating and I felt at home straight way which was nice since I was travelling alone. I highly recommend and will definitely be...

DECEPCION… En 2016 me alojé en el Hostel la Parra iba haciendo el camino De Santiago y tomemos un desvío para ver San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, la verdad que fue una experiencia de 10, el dueño Ibon fue súper amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos, al año siguiente recomendé este Hostel, ya que la experiencia había sido muy buena, pagas 30 euros, pero merece la pena no solo por las instalaciones que en ese momento se encontraban muy limpias sino por el trato recibido. Este año decidí repetir la experiencia y he de decir, que ha sido decepcionante, las instalaciones no estaban muy limpias y lo peor de todo pedimos q encendieran la calefacción o alguna manera de calentar la habitación ya que el albergue estaba HELADO, nos respondieron que solo se encendía de noche, y sino la encenderían, y visto q no se encendía volvimos a llamar y enviar un par de mensajes y no recibimos contestación…. Por lo que tuvimos que poner colchones en el suelo para dormir juntos y al menos no pasar tanto frío. Así que ha sido una experiencia decepcionante y realmente 60 euros para pasar frío no...
