Bar Lafuente is a true local gem! Tucked away and walk-on only, this place has an authentic charm that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly.

The food? Absolutely incredible. The fried squid is perfectly crisp and tender, bursting with flavor, and the patatas bravas are hands-down some of the best I’ve had — crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and served with a smoky, rich sauce that’s totally addictive. Everything is very reasonably priced, making it not only delicious but a great value too.

This was a great introduction to Spanish Food! We came directly from the airport and heard of this place. While waiting for 30 Minutes, we enjoyed cold drinks in the shade. When we sat down, everything went by quickly and our food arrived. We had Hungry eggs, Tuna Tomato Salad, grilled Octopus and artichoke chips. It was absolutely delicious, for my taste a bit too salty but we also got free bread that balanced everything out.

Cuando tengas un antojo auténtico, te recomiendo sin duda Bar Lafuente. Lo encuentras muy cerca de la Verneda i la Pau, y la verdad es que su ubicación es perfecta porque es muy fácil llegar. En mi opinión, su carta está llena de platos deliciosos que realmente conquistan el paladar; en especial, su pasta y sus pizzas están siempre muy bien preparadas. Y por lo que se comenta, su calamar es simplemente excepcional. Considerando la calidad de su cocina, lo atento que es el personal, lo acogedor del local y lo bien situado que está, creo que los precios son más que justos. No es un sitio caro y, sinceramente, la experiencia en conjunto merece mucho la pena. Además, puedes pagar con tickets restaurante sin complicación alguna. Eso sí, mi consejo es que llames siempre para reservar mesa, porque suele llenarse rápido debido a su popularidad. El ambiente es muy agradable y tienen una terraza exterior preciosa; de hecho, se ha convertido en el lugar favorito de muchas familias.
