I have been living at Aparto Cristóbal de Moura for seven months, and while the residence itself has the potential to be great, the management and service make it a frustrating experience. I was fined without proof, and my attempts to address it via email and in person were completely ignored. Maintenance issues, such as faulty lighting, were only given temporary fixes rather than proper solutions. The residence is extremely noisy at all hours, making it difficult to study or rest, and the shared facilities are in terrible condition. The cleaning service, which is supposed to happen every 15 days, does not actually clean but instead pushes dust and dirt into corners and under desks. The only way to get any response from them is by threatening legal action, yet they still refuse to engage in discussion. My only remaining option is to go to the municipality, register my complaint under Barcelona law, and report these issues to OMIC or a lawyer. A student should not have to waste more than 24 hours trying to fix basic issues that could be resolved in minutes with proper management. From the photo attached to this review, you can see that the laundry room is sometimes chaotic, with people throwing others’ belongings out of the washing machines. The cleaning is also poor. Our cluster is open to everyone in the building, meaning anyone can enter and rob us. I’ve already had a bottle of water and alcohol stolen, yet Aparto hasn’t found a solution because the area must remain fully open for fire safety reasons. Given the current level of security during the day, anyone could walk into my living room—even a homeless person. If I had to highlight a positive aspect, it would be Alonzo (the security guard at night). He is very sociable, respectful, and helps make the Aparto building a safer place.

Avoid This Residence at All Costs! I’ve had the experience of living in Aparto (both Pallars and Cristobal) for the past 3 years and for the few things I love, there are many more negatives. First, let me say that I love the receptionist team, they are always there to help. However, over the years, the management has been a nightmare to work with, and they will treat you as if they don't know you as soon as you bring up something you disagree with. We have had many issues; flooding, rats, ants and many other issues with just the construction itself. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything your other 5 flatmates are doing. Maintenance is a complete joke. Requests always take a long time to get fixed and you may have to do a lot of requests as there are so many problems with the building/rooms. The management is beyond incompetent. They find any excuse to charge fees and if they have to refund you for something it will take ages (last year we waited almost an entire year to get refunded due to water damage for major flooding). On top of all that, safety is a major concern. The location of the building is next to probably the most dangerous part of Barcelona and seeing people get robbed is not an uncommon occurrence. I have been to LIV, the residence across the street and their residence is much better (I should have gone there instead). Overall, this place is a complete disaster. I have many more pictures and videos of the horror that is this apartment but sadly some won't upload. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere—this apartment building is not worth the stress or the rent (which gets more and more expensive each year)! P.S. It always takes multiple months to get your deposit back so don't count on having it returned quickly.

Enjoy your trip in Barcelona !!

During my stay at Aparto Student Barcelona from October 1st to 8th, what impressed me the most was the kindness and professionalism of the staff (thanks, Sara, for all the prints I asked and you kindly provided! :). From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming and genuinely attentive. The reception team made the check-in process fast and easy, and they were always available to answer questions or offer help, whether it was about facilities, directions in the city, or local recommendations. I especially appreciated how friendly and approachable they were; they treated residents not just as guests, but as part of a community. Even small gestures, like greeting me by name or asking how my day was going, made a big difference and created a warm atmosphere. The maintenance and cleaning teams also deserve recognition; the building and common areas were spotless, and any small requests were handled quickly and efficiently. Overall, the staff at Aparto truly elevate the experience. Their care, professionalism, and human warmth made my short stay not only comfortable but...
