Les Palmeres is a pleasant surprise tucked away from the usual tourist-heavy spots—a true local gem offering great value for the price. As a family of food lovers, we were genuinely impressed by the balance of affordability and quality here, especially when compared to neighboring restaurants.

The calamari was outstanding—crispy, tender, and clearly made with care. The patatas bravas were decent, though not a standout, while the suckling pig delivered rich, flavorful bites that exceeded expectations. Everything arrived astonishingly fast, making this an ideal stop for a satisfying, no-fuss meal. 🐷🍟🦑

While the ambiance lacks the flair or traditional Spanish charm you might find elsewhere, the experience still felt authentic. The staff didn’t speak English, which to us was actually a plus—it was a sign we’d found a true local spot rather than a polished tourist trap in disguise.

My first impression was not that I really wanted to stay there - no push set up, everything very bare and "local"; however once we decided to give it a try, we were blown away by the good tapas and the Novotel welcome and conversations of the owner, Cesar. The food was quickly delivered and all tapas tasted fantastic. The patatas bravaa were a hit, the chicken tenders warfed down by our kids and the anchovies in olive oil were superb (comment from my chef-husband). It turned out to be a very authentic, very nice experience and Cesar and his team made us feel like old friends. Next time in Barcelona, we will be sure to look...
