LA CUINA DEL PAPI — Restaurant in Barcelona

As a tourist, its always interesting to have a meal at a restaurant where 99% of their customers are locals, whom have been frequent customers based on their interactions with the owner/waiters. You know you are definitely in for a treat and they did not disappoint.

All of the food I've tried was my first time ever tasting them, and I recommend it to everyone who has an open mind and willing to try something new!

Callos - I have never had tripe before, but I must say after having it here I must say I'm really really impressed! The tripe was soft, smooth, not chewy, and the stew itself was so flavourful, with tiny chunks of what I assume is chorizo. Dip the bread in the flavourful stew and you will be amazed!

Omellete - I ordered the one that comes with what I assume is tiny little fishes. It was a very light dish, very delicious. Pairs well with the bread.

Wine was exceptionally cheap, 1/2 L for a bit over 2 euros, and it tasted amazing as well!

Beautiful local restaurant 👍 As a tourist, I got to experience eating like locals and actually eating beautiful authentic homemade food. It was a pleasure for me to dine-in here. Service was fantastic! The staff was very caring and very helpful in deciding the meals for us and recommending some places to go in Barcelona. Tomato bread was so fresh and yummy! Tortilla de Patatas was one of the best I ate so far in Spain, I can taste the caramelised onions, potato was soft and creamy, the omelette was so good! The Callos were beautifully made and tasted like your mom’s cooking. The calamari was so delicious as well. I’m hoping to get back soon to Barcelona to try more of the menu here. La Cuina del Papi, situat en el barri del Clot, és un restaurant que ofereix una cuina tradicional i de menú amb un toc divertit. L'ambient del lloc és acollidor i animat, creant una atmosfera agradable per a gaudir d'un menjar.

El menú presenta una varietat de plats que representen la cuina tradicional amb un gir creatiu. Des d'opcions de carn i peix fins a opcions vegetarianes, hi ha alguna cosa per a tots els paladars. Els plats són saborosos i ben presentats, mostrant la dedicació en la preparació del menjar.

No obstant això, en la meva visita, vaig notar que els plats van trigar una mica a arribar a la taula. Encara que això pot haver estat un inconvenient, la qualitat del menjar i l'ambient general del restaurant van compensar en gran manera l'espera.
