I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We arrived a little before our reservation, they gave us a table next to the stairs and exit door that we had to ask to change it. When were having a salad waiting for our “chuletón” the waiter came and said “i feel responsible for you and your food is ready and if I don’t bring it now they take it for other table and you have to wait a lot”. We were surprised of their bad time management and putting the responsibility on us. However we said ok. But then he disappeared for half an hour, no apologies, no asking if we need something more. We were observing other tables who came after us finishing their food!! Finally we had to catch and stop another waiter to ask for our food. It was so annoying that they all were ignoring looking at us. And, the meet comes almost raw and you should prepare it on hot stone urself. So not even too much time required from them to prepare it. When the meals finally came, we were already frustrated, and to make things worse, when we asked for dessert they told us that “the turn is finished.”!!! “sorry it is out of my hand”!!! And that was it! The waiter was looking at us and saying sorry, I cannot do anything, for 10min, and the next turn wasn’t still there and the restaurant was empty. if he wouldn’t waste time to discuss, we could have our dessert and already leave. No apologies, and even no feeling sorry in their face. Let’s make it clear that it wasn’t the waiter, but the system, bcoz we went to talk with the receptionist and we found the same speech. I felt that it was an honor for us to be able to eat there, not that they should serve us! Now I think that we had to do an official reclaim, but it was our anniversary and we didn’t want more bad vibes. And I haven’t talked about the bad renovation that they have done on these beautiful historical bar. Now you feel you are in a cheap artificial plant store. They have placed a few swinging chairs, super uncomfortable for this type of food and even a couple left the restaurant bcoz there were not another tables available. The quality of food, normal and in comparison with price, quite expensive. Our bill of two people, without...

The good: The beef cheek croquetas were excellent The carpaccio was very nice
The bad: The tartare was not pleasant to eat. It just tasted like grounded up hamburger meat lacking other flavours, and the egg not on top is a loss to the experience. The chips that come with the steak were really gross, tasted like British chipper chips. Chips should come with sauce, so stick with potato cubes, would be my advice, potatoes yes, chips no.
The steak Simmental wasn't bad as such but it was undercharred and not hot enough.
Essentially you're paying for the show, the nice photogenic surroundings, the hammock chairs, the cooking trays brought to the table, it's all overhead not on the plate that still needs paying for.
If you like this kind of thing, this is for you, I'd imagine it would be good for a company Christmas party or some other mass crowd pleasing event.
If you're only after good food with maximum value on the plate, this is...
