The room is beautiful and clean but despite being a 4 star hotel, expect only the basic amenities (walk with your own electric kettle, mug, bed slippers...). Racial profiling at the spa, and being denied access to visit, was very disappointing. Especially when, the following day, I hear them tell a White client he could visit the spa before paying. I spoke to the manager about my experience and was told it was a misunderstanding, she thought I asked for a massage in my room; which was obviously a load of crap. So their solution was to tell me I could now visit the facility I was denied access to previously. I politely decline and took spent my money at another spa despite booking at that hotel specifically for that purpose. ||The soundproof isn't that good. I woke up multiple times thinking someone was trying to open my door, anytime a guest were opening their door or knocking. ||Overall, the hotel is okay... Hopefully the elevator works when you visit, and you don't have to walk all the way up or down from the 4th floor... Thankfully, I was checking out that day.||Otherwise, the staff in the cafeteria and the cleaning ladies are really friendly! Some front desk staff also, which made up for that disgraceful welcome at the spa and Management's poor ability to solve the issue I...

For the first, you have the worst room you ever could imagine for these money. Walking by 15minutes to the metro station, not 7. Then you’ll have no water and no minibar inside the room because till 2 days they “had no time to put the water inside the room” so you have to by it downstairs for the 3.69. Then you have no umbrellas when its rain. Then the reception telling you that they still didn’t put the water inside because “there was no time for it”. Before the another reception’s worker told you that it will be in the bar, but not in the free use (0,4 l) for the tonight in the room. P.s for inside the room is so poor like your granny is living for 50€ for month and invited your for the vacay.
Please do not disturb them for real - we’re still afraid of smth more. Here’s already more then enough.
If you’re a real tourist please ignore this place, really want them to failure...
Read moreWe’ve stayed at Hotel Catalonia, right next to La Maquinista Westfield in Barcelona, several times and it has always been a great experience. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and offers excellent amenities.
One of the highlights is definitely the breakfast. There’s a wide variety to choose from: freshly cut meats and cheeses, different types of milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, quality coffee, and even eggs cooked on demand. They also offer vegetarian options like vegetarian sausages, plus chicken sausages for those who don’t eat pork. And the pastries—croissants, pains au chocolat, and more—are always fresh and delicious.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the decoration of the hotel is elegant and relaxing. It is on the pricier side, but in our opinion it’s worth it for the overall quality and experience.
On our last visit, we noticed a couple of small maintenance details (like some holes in the curtains), but nothing that really took away from the stay. The place still looks very nice and well cared for.
Overall, highly recommended if you’re looking for comfort, quietness, and a top-quality breakfast experience...
