Creative and well-made cocktails. This place looks like it should be more popular than it was when we were there. It looks like a cross between hotel chic and modern speakeasy (thankfully without the kitschy gimmicks of one).
I was surprised to see it so sparsely attended on a Friday night. Now, it wasn't very late but the bar we went to after this one was packed so I'm not sure what's going on. It shouldn't be because the cocktails are lacking -- they are not! The prices are also no different than any similar level craft cocktail bar. Bartender was a little distant, which made the whole ambience with the empty bar seem even more sparse, but some people don't like talkative bartenders. If that's you, this is a good place to visit.
Interesting takes on drinks, and very carefully prepared. You definitely get a proper cocktail here.
We tried a few and I must say while they didn't wow me exactly, they were very skillfully designed. Perfect for many cocktail drinkers and the menu has enough variety that there is bound to be a drink for everyone. It goes from fun and fruity to strong and complex. Just the way it should be! The tequila based one (Green Light) was the best of what I tried, but it lacked the mezcal punch promised. Unfortunately, I find that happens a lot in western Europe where access to good mezcal is quite limited. Anyone spoiled by having mezcal in Mexico or the USA probably won't be too happy, but for a tequila cocktail it is a solid drink.
I would definitely check...

The environment is so relaxing: Lowly lit atmosphere that's eye resting, adequately discreet music to not undermine conversation yet protect yours from your neighbours and comfy seats (despite I personally dislike sofas, they were enjoyable and my back didn't hurt)
Cocktails were equally as great: I opened up with the surprising Padova-sicilia, very floral with that artichoke and olive tastes and finished with 7 Villas, a great fruity-liquory mixology that made me feel like drinking ice cream. Incredibly surprising texture-wise.
A++, probably going back in the weekend for...
Read moreSpent some time at Mr. White, and I’ve got to hand it to Massimiliano, the guy behind the bar. Beyond being really friendly and happy to chat about the drinks, I learned that he's the one who comes up with every item on the rotating menu. He mentioned pulling inspiration from unexpected flavour combinations across a variety of cuisine, and it shows in every drink I ordered. None of them could be compared to anything I've had before.
Don't order a classic cocktail here. Try the menu. Or even better, do yourself a favour and ask him to recommend...
