Entre Tapes — Restaurant in Barcelona

Took a walk up from our hotel hoping for some Spanish tapas and spotted this place. Looked promising from the outside. Never had Tapas so bad. My wife and I ordered 3 each but the portions were huge, which wasn’t a good thing as 4 of the 6 tasted awful. Waitress then served them to us one at a time and didn’t bring the next until we’d finished one, which isn’t what we expected. Slices of cold ham on cold oily potatoes, chicken goujons and pork scratchings are not in my opinion tapas. Very disappointing. Also had to listen to what I assume was a local loudly and incessantly slapping the button of the roulette machine for over an hour throughout our entire meal whilst the barmaid brought him beers....

The menu looked pretty decent - but the actual food was rough. Everything was very greasy. The ham they use is more similar to american bologna which was a bit odd. We had an order of carne nachos and it seemed like they poured the grease from the ground beef on the chips and then topped them with olive oil. The beans on them were white kidney beans and they were also topped with guacamole - but that wasn’t listed on the menu. Ambiance wise, it was pretty warm inside but the patio is semi closed in with a tent and everyone out there chain smokes so it kind of nixes that as an option. Over all not the...

He ido 3 veces. Las 2 primeras veces porque nos venía de paso por ir al Cap Manso y la última fuimos expresamente.

Fuimos hace años a comer, esa vez fue una muy buena experiencia, como para darle de 4 o 5 estrellas.

La segunda vez a desayunar, bien, desayunamos 3 personas por unos 14 o 15 euros, 2 bikinis i un bocadillo de Jamón del País (3.90€). En el caso del bocadillo había cantidad de Jamón, se notaba el jamón, desayunamos a gusto. Como para darle de 3 a 4 estrellas, recomendar y volver.

Pero...

La última... Yo pense que si el Jamón del país me gustó el de Ibérico me tendría que gustar mil veces más. Pues no... Si eso era Jamón Ibérico yo soy papa de Roma. 5,95€. 2 personas entre 15 y 16 euros. Cortado a máquina. No nos gustó nada. No desayunamos a gusto. Más pan que Jamón, escaso y finísimo... el jamon apenas se notaba predominaba el pan en la boca, pero el problema no está en la escasez, sino en la calidad, malo, blancucho, la grasa ... no parecía ni Ibérico. Si realmente era Ibérico será del malo, de mala calidad y lo cobran como si fuera de calidad. Me lo tomo como que me dieron gato por liebre. Obviamente por eso le doy 1 estrella y ya no lo puedo recomendar.

Tengo que decir que frecuento unicamente 3 bares por mi zona (de 5 a 50 minutos andando) que hacen unos bocadillos excelentes y que en uno de ellos... El Jamón Ibérico si se le puede llamar asi, a demás, que lo cortan a mano.

Lástima que en el momento no caí para hacerle fotografías al supuesto...
