Hidden Gem 💎 We had an amazing experience at Salsa Mama! It’s a small, cozy and very family-style restaurant where you can really feel the homemade touch in every dish.

We ordered the steak with salad, the schnitzel with fries, the burrata salad and a selection of different croquettes. Everything was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The steak was tender, the croquettes were delicious and clearly homemade, and the burrata salad was light and refreshing.

The food is delicious and the service is brilliant. The homely atmosphere encourages you to stay longer. They are one of the few places in Barcelona that make their own empanadas! I’ve tried many empanadas and these are the best I’ve ever had. I visited last week on my last day in Barcelona and couple that owns the store were so kind and welcoming, I enjoyed a beer with them after the store was closed as they explained how everything is prepared freshly by hand every day.
