Toma Ya Street Food — Restaurant in Barcelona

This is such a great place for some honest food! We made a last minute booking, best to message through WhatsApp Messenger to make a reservation and lucky we did as it's a must for this place! For a 2 person dinner (we were a bit hungry) we ordered, the Ceviche Purano, which was so fresh and full of flavour, the Nachotes, which were the perfect size to start the meal off and also full of flavour, next El Chaufa which is wol fried basmati rice with vegetable and egg scallion with pork belly - the pork was so juicy, this dish was slightly sweet and salty - so good, lastly we had Taco pulled pork Acevichado which had my taste buds in a frenzy... We took a slight break and then had dessert of a chocolate tart with dulche de leche and hazelnuts. We also tried all 3 of their homemade lemonades which were all great, special mention to the flavour Maracuya (Passionfruit). Definitely stop by, as this place is fairly priced for the great food and the warm and...

We would have liked to eat here, but they turned us away at the door. We were two families of four people each; they said they have a "no groups" policy and since we were eight people, they wouldn't let us in.

We said we don't mind splitting into two tables of four. No. We pointed out that if we had walked in as two separate groups, they would have taken us. No.

I think it might have been an anti-tourist thing, which is really kind of ironic since my wife and mother-in-law are originally from Lima, and Mom in particular was craving some true Peruvian food... but no luck.

Anyway, for being jerks and turning down hot, hungry people, one...

I loved this place!! The food was very tasty and refreshing, with a decent array of vegetarian options. It is a great option for people in the Gracia area. Although it is considered Peruvian food, I would say that they have incorporated other cuisine as well.

The atmosphere of the place was also great. I personally loved the interior declarations, and the staff were extremely friendly.

I ordered the chicha morrada as well, and would highly recommend it.

It is a little bit on the pricey side considering the smaller portions, but it is partially offset by the quality...
