Escorpio — Restaurant in Benalmádena

I'm only basing this review on the service I got when attempting to reserve a table for an evening meal at the restaurant of this hotel in Benalmadena Pueblo. My wife and I called in to the hotel reception on a Monday evening to book a table for the two of us on the coming Saturday night. Only on mid-Wednesday afternoon were we called back by the hotel to be told that their restaurant was fully booked for Saturday night and that they had no table for us after all. Disappointed at this turn of events I asked to make a formal complaint only to be told conveniently that the restaurant manager did not speak good English and that I could not be put through to him or her. Regret not getting the name of our waiter - he was exceptional! Definitely one of the best I’ve ever come across - Thank you so much. Your fine attention to detail made it such a lovely experience for us. Extremely accommodating to create or alter dishes for vegetarians or those with dietary needs without any hassle whatsoever. Huge variety to choose from - Tapas, Set Menu and Gourmet Menu. Market Menu is superb value for money. €15.90 for a starter, main and dessert (or coffee) and you also get a drink included which can be a Glass of house wine, water, mineral or San Miguel/ Mahou. Escorpio is a gorgeous restaurant perched above the Pueblo...overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the lush greenery of Benalmadena. It is part of the La Fonda Hotel, located in the quaint and charming Pueblo of Benalmadena. The experience here is truly special. The food is spectacular.
