Sonia l’Obrer was recommended by our friend and it was outstanding. I had the 23 euro menu del dia and my husband had the 28 euro menu del dia. My mixed salad with fruit was so tasty combining savory with the sweetness of the fruit. My rabbit cooked in the oven with crushed carrots and almonds was incredible. What a wonderful combination. My husband had the tapas tempura sampler and he loved it followed by oven baked lamb with a mix of potatoes and vegetables. It was so tender and tasty. She gives you little digestifs after your dessert like limoncello. Sonia came out to greet diners and she is so sweet. She has a passion and a pride in her cooking and unlike other restaurants she is not there to rip tourists off. In fact all of the diners except us were Spanish. Don’t miss this gem. Its recommended to make a...

When you are looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant you have to try El Restaurante Sonia L´Obrer in Benimantell

I had the queso e jamon platter as starter and as main Conjejo al horno (rabit) The food was excellent and the service very welcoming and friedly. This is a perfect restaurant to combine with a trip to the Guadalest castle and have a late lunch after that. Oh and did I mentioned dessert. I had the home made lemon cake (tarte de limon) and it was perfect, fresh, sweet and a bit tangy. Finished off with a café solo.

Highly recommend this restaurant, a bit inland and away from the hussle and bussle of the beaches and be aware it is only open for (late) lunch between 12:45 and 16:30. Today it was not that bussy but you can make a reservation trough the website in...

The Best meal we have had in almost a week in the region! Took their set pre-set menus- of the day and the tapas menu. The soup, the small homemade tapas as well as the mains with lamb shoulder and rabbit under some carrot-pumpkin sauce were absolutely delicious! Cream cheese and tuna filled red pepper was so good we had to order extra.

Why eat overpriced excuse to food in Guadalest when there is a perfect local restaurant 5min car ride away with private parking. Would return in a heartbeat!...
