Da Paolo — Restaurant in Borriana / Burriana

Discovered by accident. Terrific set lunch menu for less than 14 Eur, coffe or tea included in the price. I didn't try their Italian specialties, but was impressed by the quality and creativity of their first and second courses. The owner recites the whole list of dishes, which he knows by heart, including detailed explanations of the ingredients.. Loved the local "esgarraet" , a grilled red pepper salad with cured cod, garlic, in olive oil. The whole venue, a typical old stately house that saw better times, is worth a visit....

Hi havia cucs a l'arròs!! CUCS!! Vam demanar menú, érem 4, els entrants tot i ser un poc escassos no estaven gens malament, però bé, quan va arribar l'arròs roig amb gambes, vam flipar! Li ho vam comentar al cambrer i va dir que era una part de la gamba. Vam pensar "tindrà raó el xic", però després de trobar-nos diferents cuquets blancs i veure que tenien patetes i cap, ens vam adonar que teníem raó. Li ho vam tornar a nomenar, i li vam dir que havíem deixat els cucs que havíem trobat en un plat perquè els vegera, però no va reaccionar. Va agafar els plats i això va ser tot. Pensàvem que ens ho descomptarien del compte, però ni això. Com som jòvens i no tenim experiència en aquestes situacions, no vam saber reaccionar i al estar en una cel.lebració no vam estar ràpids. Potser hauríem d'haver-li-ho dit a l'amo. No va ser gens agradable. No era la primera vegada que anàvem, de fet, havíem anat varies vegades, però tot i no ser el meu restaurant preferit, pensava que no estava mal. Dubte moltíssim...

I wish I could give this Place 7 stars!!!! The selection of food is huge, there is something for everyone. The service Jose and his family offer is second to none. The newly renovated area is ideal for parties and large groups. The place is spotless. I would recommend the arroz meloso, finger...
