Restaurant Macadan — Restaurant in Borriana / Burriana

I had never heard of Macadán before, but it turned out to be a fantastic surprise, absolutely worth the visit. The food was delicious, with a creative and fun menu where every dish held its own. Nothing felt like a filler; it was clear that thought and care went into every plate.

There were a few small hiccups, service was a bit stretched, possibly due to an inexperienced waitress and the restaurant being quite full, which made it hard for (what seemed to be) the owner to keep up. Also, the menu was only available on Instagram, and the website wasn’t up to date, which was slightly inconvenient.

That said, the beautiful space and the outstanding food more than made up for it. I’m really looking forward to coming back, there’s a lot of talent in this kitchen. Highly...

Hoy hemos tenido la oportunidad de venir al restaurante por primera vez, no será la última... La sala es muy acogedora, con mobiliario cómodo y buen espacio entre mesas, lo que permite disfrutar de la conversación y la comida. El servicio es muy atento, incluso con nuestra necesidad de 2 tronas han sido perfectamente amables en todo momento, no se nota ni un ápice que su aforo esté completo en lo que a la asistencia en sala y velocidad de servicio se refiere. La comida es punto y aparte; nosotros optamos por el menú de 3 entrantes, plato principal y postre, el cual está perfectamente equilibrado, sin abusar de sabores estridentes pero llenando el paladar de increíbles sensaciones. En este caso huyen de aparentar con ingredientes con nombres muy rimbombantes o de moda, haciendo perfectamente entendible por cualquier comensal lo que va a tomar y sorprendiendose a su vez por las combinaciones. No pudimos resistirnos a engrosar el pedido del menú con unas croquetas de la carta, acierto, no tienen algo así de bueno en 60 km a la redonda. Los postres a la altura de los platos, impresionantes, destacar el brownie cuya textura es única y tiene un perfil muy partícula de "la casa". Por último, la cuenta... Oh! Sorpresa..! Efectivamente nunca había disfrutado tanto y estaba dispuesto a entregar uno de mis riñones, nada de eso. El precio es absolutamente ajustado, para todos los bolsillos, no hay otro sitio igual en relación calidad-precio en la provincia. Debo felicitar a Dani Felip y su equipo por optimizar tanto los recursos y ofrecer esta increíble cocina a precios tan asequibles, hacer participe de la gastronomía de este nivel a tanta gente, con independencia de sus posibles, es todo un logro que le categoriza, sin duda, en lo que se...

Well, this is a little gem hidden away in Burriana. We had the 17.95€ menú del día and it was fantastic. There were homemade Croquetas as a little pre-starter followed by imaginative starters to share and then our own main course. It was beautifully presented, so stylish that you would think that you were in a Michelin star restaurant (there are 5 in neighbouring Castellón). All are freshly made and with a combination of flavours that will make you want to keep going back for more. Highly recommended if you are in the area and worth a detour...
