I have been previously in this restaurant many times and I loved it, however something has change since last year and now it is just a reflection of what it was… First, We got served Jamon Iberico cut by someone with no experience whatsoever, which after our dish I saw 4 more people also cutting Jamon . A place like this can not afford not to have a real cortador….unreal… Secondly, we ordered in advance a quarter of Lamb which we had to return to the chef cause it was compeltely over cooked…first time in my life I have to do this. Also we order a bottle of wine completely out of temperature to eat our overcooked lamb… To conclude, we where waiting for 45 minutes to get the bill with my two babies already tired and grumpy and we had to stand up to pay by the counter like in a taberna, but with a 90 € bill The worst is not all these previously explained, it was the complete lack of empathy from the Metre and the service in the room. I m sorry but completely overpriced, rude and very bad actitude from the service in the restaurant. Def i ll...
Read moreI was very disappointed with this restaurant. It was recommended to me as a great place to eat, but it was not great at all. First the service was extremely disorganized. They had a Maitre De, taking all the orders, and she had no logical way of doing it. She was all over the restaurant, and people who came after us got to order before us. It took us a good 30 minutes from the time we were seated to order our food. We ordered the cream of pumpkin soup to start, and it was watery and lacked pumpkin flavor. We followed with some eggs with morcilla de burgos (blood sausage), and again, it was taste less. Finally we ordered a Solomillo de Ternera (beef tenderloin) and like the rest of the food, lacked any flavor at all. For dessert we had the Arroz con Leche, and while it did taste good, the rice was too hard. Another annoying fact is that they do not sell wine by the glass. If you wanted wine, you had to order at least half a bottle. Overall, this lunch experience was completely...

Traditional Spanish food. I have visited this place four times in different years. I’m my opinion this is a safe ground restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal for fair prices, a little bit pricy but the service generally good and attentive. For fist time visitors is nice because it is inside an old-fashion hotel. The decor is classic, I’m not a fan of it but it doesn’t me bother.
Dishes are we’ll prepared, the quality of ingredients is good. The wine list is amazing, the largest offer I have seen in a Spanish restaurant, ask for it, is a red book. In one of my visits the waiter didn’t bring that to me and offer a wine verbally, what a pity, I’m that day the service was not as good as expected. Anyway, don’t expect fancy dishes, simply traditional Spanish food. This place is good for going with family and friends. In my case is the stop when going to...
