Food was delicious. Service was absolutely horrible. We spent over 100 euros for 2 people and it was the worst service we had in over a week of traveling across multiple cities in Spain.
We arrived around 22:00, an hour before kitchen closed - we made sure to confirm before seating. After a while, we finally got our wine order in which was then served to us without a word. The waiter just opened, poured, didn't even wait for us to taste the wine, much less approve it before leaving.
We finally had a chance to oder food after waiting a while, and most of the food came in a timely manner. We spent 15 minutes after eating the rest of our food waiting for our last dish - grilled pork cutlets - that should not have taken almost 40 minutes to arrive. And only after we asked about them twice.
The restaurant was not very busy, only 2 or 3 other tables, and we had a very hard time flagging down any of the service staff the entire time. After trying to flag down a waiter for another 10 minutes we finally tried to order dessert, which they initially told us we might not be able to have despite it being 10 minutes before kitchen close. After about 5 minutes they said it was ok.
We waited for another 15 minutes and had to chase down another server to follow up to finally get the dessert which it turned out was already prepared, just waiting in a pastry fridge.
We asked for the check 2 times, waited another 10 mins after finishing dessert, and had to go find a server again for the check. Then another almost 10 mins waiting for someone to take payment, and when no one came we finally had to walk to the door and flag down another server who didn't even...
Read moreWent there on holiday with no booking at 1 pm sharp. Got seated luckily. Waitress was nice and made sure we ordered to our likings. Local Wine recommended was nice. She checked on us regularly.
Appetizers were great. We ordered the smallest “tapas” size and was glad that we did. A full size fried eggplant went by us and one plate could have fed our whole family. Ox tail was flavourable and tender. I had gazpacho in other places and find it not my taste. This Salmorejo has a tangy fruitful flavour to it, which i love.
Flamenquin, the meat inside is quite hard and the fried outer layer peeled off after a while. We had a similar one with melted cheese instead of green pepper inside. That tasted much better and more tender.
Desserts were special. It was a good experience. Although ordering oranges slices in a restaurant sound silly, it actually taste great. The almond milk is like a soft almond flavour custard with gelatin, breaded with crushed almond bits and fried. There is nothing Bailey with the ice cream but it was nice with...
Read moreHad dinner here with my partner. They have quite a menu and have a special tapas menu as well, or at least certain dishes that can be served as tapas.
The menu varies from traditional Spanish to a few mixed cuisine dishes.
I had the duck, which was cooked to perfection. The duck meat was soft and succulent. My partner had the oxtail, which could be described in the same way. The portion size was enough for the both of us, but for some it may be a bit on the small side.
For dessert we had the brownie and the oranges with cinnamon and olive oil. The last seems like a traditional dessert as we have seen it across the menu of multiple restaurants. We tried it here and let me tell you; You should go for it! The cinnamon compliments the oranges and you don't taste anything of the oil.
The waitstaff is friendly and keeps an eye on their customers. They work hard to make sure everyting is to your liking.
When you visit they ask you in which language you want the menu as they offer it in three lamguages: Spanish,...
