We had an interesting experience in this restaurant.

From the outset the waiter was rude. We tried to ask about a dish and I had to ask Alberto to listen to my wife, so she could ask the question (we spoke Spanish).

We ordered and asked for the three items to come out at the same time. Firstly, one of the items was unnecessary as both other items came with potatoes. So we ended up with 3 lots of potatoes!

The first item was potatoes that were served at room temperature(not heated) - not sure if they were meant to be.

The next two items came out 10 minutes apart. (Not together).

He came to clear the table. Had we finished? Yes. I asked for the bill (in Spanish).

20 minutes later we got up and asked another lady the number of the table so we could go down and pay.

She said you have to pay here. She spoke to our waiter. He finally brought our bill. I had cash. He looked at me. Marched off and then someone came and cleared the table including the bill.

I had had enough. We left. (This was not anything about the money - we were disgusted by how we had been treated).

They then chased us into the street. Amazing how that gained attention.

We paid Antonio who helped try to calm the efficacious waiter down. Alberto’s yelling in the street was unpleasant and he threatened to call the police (the bill was €32). He would not calm down, even when asked to by poor Antonio who had to get involved.

I know I was in the wrong with leaving but I was beside myself with how we had been treated.

Most appalling service and disappointing in comparison to other restaurants we have...

Our hotel's welcome pack included a list of recommended local eateries and this was conspicuously near the top. It also came with the added endorsement of the front desk staff.

Situated in the warren of alleys surrounding the Cordoba mosque, this pretty little establishment is an inviting sanctuary from the busy and crowded streets outside. The centerpiece of the restaurant is an attractive open air courtyard around which were a few high tables generously spaced apart.

The menu is accessed via mobile phone and proved easy to navigate. The waiters all spoke some English and were also quite helpful with suggestions and explanations.

We tried the uniquely Cordoban dish called 'Special Flamenquin Cordobes' which comprised a layered roll of Serrano ham with pork loin that was covered with a breaded batter and deep fried and then served with some coarse cut potatoes, salad and salmorejo. You just can't go wrong with anything that is both crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect!

The other dish was the 'Mozarabic Lamb Timpani', exotically spiced cooked lamb cubes on a bed of couscous and topped with both almonds and walnuts. Attractive to look at and tasty to boot! All this washed down liberally with several glasses of refreshing cream sherry on the rocks  and a...

My wife and I were fortunate to find this lovely restaurant. We ate there both on the 13th and on the 14th of March. We really loved it. The highlight of the first meal was my succulent steak (Chuleton 500g) and the excellent friendly service from Maria and her colleagues. They made it such an enjoyable experience that we simply had to return the following day. We arrived significantly earlier (we had booked a Flamenco show) to be greeted by the lovely Rosalia who looked after us admirably. When we arrived (17.15) it was very quiet but then it soon became quite busy. Rosalia was on her own and dealt with the influx of customers admirably. Once again we were treated to some lovely food. My wife had the Salmon whilst I enjoyed the Flamenquin Pollo Bacon. Our average spend per person over the two evenings was 33 Euros which was excellent value for such a delightful restaurant. I highly recommend El Patio. Go there to eat if you are in Cordoba. I am convinced that you could not find a...

Fantastic food - we particularly enjoyed the oxtail in the traditional style, and chorizo al vino. Service was pleasant, and our server, Lidia, made us feel welcomed. She recommended some really great wines, and we left happy and satisfied. We might come back again because the food is so good!

I don’t understand why this restaurant gets recommendations, especially from the local people in the area. Everything about this restaurant was absolutely terrible. First, half of the items on the menu were not available, basically everything we chose first, nope. Second you can’t buy anything wine related by the glass, it’s a whole bottle or nothing. Third the food was one of the worst we’ve had in all of the south. The chicken, pork and cheese roll was disgusting, everything tasted very odd and the oxtail had no flavor and the sauce also had an odd flavor. Lastly, I don’t think any of the tables in this entire restaurant are level, putting any weight on one side will almost make the entire table topple over. We were not the only people in the rest experiencing this problem. In hindsight it probably would have been better if we ended up wearing our meal instead of eating it. I don’t recommend this place.
