As Termas — Restaurant in Caldas de Reis

I have recieved bad services in spain before, but this one was off the chart. We where denied food service because the kitchen was closed, only beverages, we could still see many dishes being done and taken out, many tables still in their first course. We spoke to both waiters same terrible attitude. The owner was walking around more interested in socializing with the locals than making any effort of helping tourists and pilgrims as we came along. I know it is at the front of the town as you come in, but do not stop here.

UPDATE: As you can see in the response from the owner below, this is the kind of witty attitude you get from them, instead of an apology, "hope you come back soon", you get an "I was right you where wrong and here is some evidence for proof" not even realizing this review has been written in English and translated by google, and that at no point in english does an owner have a gender. Riverside cafe restaurant with view of the bridge. A number of staff keep the service moving. Check the menu board for fixed menu at €16. This was great value with my table of 2 ordering .. Melon and ham Croquettes Beef steak on chips Calamari with potatoes This includes a drink. With a drink to start and a glass of wine to finish the total bill was about €40 for two. Great value for the meal and quality.

Very busy for the lunch and early afternoon period. The evening menu at 7pm is quieter.

Experiencia horrible nada recomendable!. Llegamos a eso de las 20.00 para tomar una cerveza y a las 20.45 aprox. solicitamos cenar. El camarero nos dice que en la mesa que estábamos sentados no sirven comida (mesa en la que podrías comer perfectamente hasta 4 personas). Le insistimos y entonces nos dice que va a ver si le queda alguna libre y nos dice algo. Pero el camarero jamás regresa y tampoco nos ofrece una solución, es más, ni siquiera viene a preguntarnos si queremos tomar algo más ya que habíamos acabado nuestras consumiciones hacía mas de media hora. A las 21.00 aprox. se libera una mesa donde si dan de comer por lo que, educadamente, nos dirigimos de nuevo al camarero para decirle que nos íbamos a sentar en esa mesa y pedir. Pero vuelve a decirnos que no van a darnos de comer, en esta ocasión porque la cocina ha cerrado… que la cocina ha cerrado a las 21.15h. Es decir, nos estaban invitando a irnos básicamente y sin temblarle el pulso… Es el peor servicio que vi en mi vida, falta de respeto total, de educación y de atención al publico. Parece que les estabamos haciendo un favor por querer cenar algo allí. Finalmente nos fuimos a cenar al lado en un molino antiguo y nada que ver con lo vivido en este lugar. Eramos 4 personas y ninguno habíamos pasado por nada igual… un negocio que no quiere facturar o unos camareros que no quieren trabajar mucho. Sea como fuera, ningun camarero ignora a sus clientes descaradamente y ninguna cocina cierra a las 21.15 y menos cuando sus clientes llevan rato...
