I expected a bit more from a place with a 4.8 rating. The prices may not be too high, but in my opinion they don’t match the quality. The ingredients used are not the best, and as you can see from the photos, the dishes don’t look very appealing.
My pork tenderloin was pink inside, and now I have a stomach ache after eating this meat.
A big plus is the bartender/waitress, who really tries to connect with customers even without speaking English.
But if the kitchen keeps serving food this way, the restaurant will quickly lose its 4.8 rating — and along with it, the tourists and pilgrims who come here.
Edit: My review is not meant to harm you, but to show that you have potential and room to grow. ⭐⭐⭐ Three stars is not bad, but it’s not great either.
If most of your clients are pilgrims, remember that they come from all over the world and each of them has different expectations. If you slightly raise your standards, everything will likely go very well for you. Sometimes it’s just about small details, like trimming off wilted lettuce leaves or choosing a bit better quality fries.
Pilgrims are people too. If they come to your restaurant and pay for something, they expect to receive a proper product.
I am truly grateful to the young woman who served me — she was very kind and pleasant. But service alone cannot carry everything. The kitchen also needs to keep up.
A restaurant is like a table with four legs: cleanliness, service, food, and atmosphere. In your case, the kitchen is the leg that wobbles a little.

Read moreThe hosts, Michaela and Daniel, were very welcoming and friendly and their food was delicious. My teenage son described his ‘Cathedral Burger’ as “heaven between buns” - it was fantastic with everything you’d want in it; my husband and I had the entrecôte steak (which was perfectly cooked) and shared an apple and strawberry salad along with a lovely bottle of Tempranillo. This couple have been running this restaurant for a year and although they are a little further out of town, deserve to be put on the map. We’ve eaten at more expensive restaurants along the Camino but on a cost / food / hospitality ratio probably enjoyed Bar La Catedral Del Sabor the most.
Sorry-I’m not one for taking photos of food and I think they stop serving...
