Todays evening took us for a stroll looking for some authentic Italian food and look no further!
This place was pretty quiet when we arrived (early) and when we left it was super busy and I can see why!
Ordered penne with bolognese, and pizza with chicken & onion.
The Bolognese was incredible, pasta was cooked fresh and al dente which we all know is best! And the ragu again was authentic slow cooked not rushed, onions were soft and sweet, not super traditional no celery or carrot present but that’s all down to Italian preference 👀 but in general sweet onion, real depth of tomato flavour, loose sauce mixed with pasta water, it was what bolognese should be!
Pizza - wow super thin and crispy, slice it and stands strong no flop or slop, charred undercarriage and prefect hand stretch airy dough! - toppings were nice also fresh thinly sliced onion, marinated small diced chicken and right amount of cheese, one criticism I would have was there was not much tomato ragu base, pretty dry on that front, was there but just not a lot a thin layer maybe that’s how they keep the pizza dough so thin and crispy?
Overall lovely place, quality food, solid ingredients, and to top it off very good price too! I was blown away when the bill came!
Today score is a solid 8/10!

Read moreReasonable prices for a solid amount of food. I took vegetable Ravioli with cheese sos and my friend took Lasagne with meat and both of the dishes were overpowered by one flavour (in my case cheese, in hers tomatoes), which made eating the whole dish sort of "tiring" for taste buds, but overall tasty 😅 We exchanged dishes to change the flavour and it made it better 😆 We came back for a pizza with salmon, which was ok, a little bit burnt. Despite those minor minuses, both the experience and the food was pleasant. The stuff was catering to our needs, but they didn't smother us+ they were informative. I would definitely recommend...
Read moreActually pretty good place. Pizza is really big and tasty if you like a thin and slightly crispy dough, lovely back terrace with lots of lamps, flowers, toilet facilities on the premises. Though, I had to score one notch down on the atmosphere due to no music. Service wise, be prepared that the place quickly fills up after 7pm when it opens for a dinner and stays this way throughout even in September. So I'd say go there 7:15pm for tables, 30mins later you may struggle during weekends (Sun). Very fast in preparing food though. You can also expect a bottle of house wine under a tenner. A...
