El Pomodoro — Restaurant in Calp

I ate here a few years ago and rated it 5 stars, however my recent visit here left me feeling very disappointed. The service was appalling, the main course took forever to arrive and as a result we were there for over 2 hours just to have dinner. We ordered a starter to share and we were served toasted sandwich bread with tomatoes, goat cheese and crushed olives, a dish our dog could have made, done a better job of it and not charged us 10 euros for it. I expect better from an Italian restaurant than something so ordinary. The lasagna was delicious but so small it barely half filled a hungry stomach, so deserts were a must. After a loong day i was feeling a little ill, (it was in mid day, so when the heat wants to kill you somtimes😅) and just wanted to have a bear and calm before i go, but this is aperently NOT ok. I was told it was a resturant and you need to order food, but for this time since we sat down is was ok!?! No, that is not ok, it was 6 or 7 tables outside (where we sat down) and all was empty, so what is the problem? I have to say i felt very uncomfortable and unwanted as a customer. Even tho i heard their food is good, i do not want to even go and try the food because i do not mean anything as a customer to them. Sorry...

¡CUIDADO LOS CELIACOS! Llevo años comiendo en este restaurante y la verdad que está todo muy rico y me dolía hacer la reseña negativa, pero lo que me ha ocurrido cuando he hablado con la dueña no lo he visto profesional y por supuesto que no voy a volver. Yo soy celiaco y pedí unos espaguetis sin gluten carbonara, al llegarme le pregunto si son sin gluten y me dicen que si pero que están cocidos donde cuecen los demás, les digo que yo no puedo tomarlos así y se los llevan, hasta aquí todo bien. Al rato me traen otros, me resulto raro que tardasen tan poco, pero me los comí. A las tres horas empiezo a tener todos los síntomas de contaminación. Les llamo y hablo con ellos para decirle lo que me ha pasado y que tengan cuidado para que no le pase a nadie más. Al hablar con la dueña veo que intenta escurrir el bulto y se pone nerviosa, yo le digo que les llamo solo para que revisen los procesos y que un error puede pasar, no somos máquinas. La dueña dice que es imposible y le digo que sólo he ido a su restaurante y mi cuerpo no se equivoca. Además al llevar años comiendo allí le digo que lo que han tardado en traerme los segundos espaguetis no era normal, al ser sin gluten y en agua nueva tardan bastante más que los normales y lo niega y no investiga qué es lo que ha pasado, ¿qué seguridad me da para volver? Ninguna. Si no eres celiaco sí que recomiendo el restaurante porque la comida y el servicio aunque lento son buenos, pero en cuanto a mi experiencia como celiaco tengo que decir que no solo no controlan lo suficiente sino que además intentaron echarme...
