The Rugby Tavern — Restaurant in Cambrils

Visited this bar by myself while my family were at a theme park. I was welcomed by a lovely Scottish lady (I'm rubbish at remembering names 🤦). I ordered a pint of Guinness and sat at a table on my own, next to an English guy who was the beer delivery guy. We got chatting and he said he had lived there for about 20 years. Next came along a guy who worked in the bar and he sat down with the delivery guy and started chatting. He asked me where I was staying and said what a wonderful place it was. As we were all chatting a Spanish guy arrived who was the bread delivery guy. He sat at the table with the other two guys and I was introduced to him. The other two english guys interpreted for me. I have never felt so relaxed and made to feel as welcomed as I did that day anywhere else. I had an amazing time talking to these people and even had a drink bought for me. I ordered a Rugby burger and a pint of Guinness for my lunch, and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone and would definitely return if I was in the area again. A definite 10/10....

Came here tonight staff seated us quick and took order for drinks , within a minute we was being asked what we want to order for our meal , didn’t get chance to look at the menu fully . We ordered a starter and main meal , we hadn’t finished our starter and they brought our mains out , we told them that we wasn’t ready so they took it back no doubt got put under a warmer . Again before we finished our started the lad came over picked up my plate that I still had food on and didn’t say a word and took it away . Very rude indeed! Then the mains came out , food was nothing special, no dressing on the salad and no condiments given either . When coming out for a meal we like to enjoy our food and drinks but overall felt like it was a get in and get out type of place . Definitely wouldn’t come back . Maybe teach your staff on how to talk to customers and maybe tell your chef to not rush on the...

We came as a group of 20 adults and kids to order food and drinks. Food for all was very disappointing. Bland and tastless across the board. My sister ordered a chicken curry, there were chicken pieces still pink and bloody 🤦‍♀️🤢 two adults ordered chicken burgers.. which were rubbery and didn't seem cooked properly, so spoke to staff. They were defensive and said that's how they buy them in. Pre cooked and just warmed up. 🤦‍♀️beef burger mince was unseasoned and tastless. The mash, veg and lamb was bland and tasteless, lacking seasoning and any thought. The girls were lovely and friendly. Restaurant clean. Atmosphere Atmosphere in general good. Just food a massive let down. 😏 advice for anyone visiting.. go for drinks and chill, eat...
