Restaurant El Pont 9 — Restaurant in Camprodon

Very disappointing 😕

This was our second time here. I must say the first time some years back was quite better, not sure what happened this time but I’ll paint a nice picture for you.

The service was good, helpful, no complaints really.

As for the food -

We ordered the croquetes, they were just ok this time around, nothing special truthfully. A little soft and lacked some exterior crunch which is nice.

The filet de vedella was missing that fire bbq smokiness. The steak was cooked nice but very bland!

The arròs de sepia was by far the biggest let down. The rice was overcooked, the flavour was ok, taste wasn’t the worst, but when you have mushy rice it’s a deal breaker.

My experience on this restaurant was terrible! I’ve visit there with 4 friends, only one Catalan speaker, we were talking in Spanish and English at the table and the waiter was insisting on speaking in Catalan even though we were replying in Spanish, I’ve travelled several places and usually when you go to a restaurant people try to communicate with you on a better way, I felt completely disrespected! Beside that I’ve ordered a plate that was greasy and burned, terrible experience! So, based on owner’s feedback, if you are not from Spain, you already know what kind to treatment you will have on this place...

Un clàssic de Camprodon. Sempre que pugem a Camprodon acabem dinant allí. Ja fa molts anys que el coneixem i són un valor segur. Tracte molt proper i amable i servei excel·lent. Treballen amb matèria prima de primeríssima qualitat. Potencien molt el producte de proximitat, i donen importància al producte de temporada. El restaurant és molt confortable i agradable, s`hi està molt a gust. Fan una cuina casolana però amb una interpretació d’autor, més moderna i actual. La presentació és molt acurada. Tenen un celler molt extens, amb moltíssimes referències de diferents àmbits geogràfics. La veritat és que és un goig llegir la carta de vins. Tot i que sí que es veritat que és una mica car, quan analitzes la relació qualitat / preu t’adones que tenen uns preus molt equilibrats. Ja que sí, pels mateixos diners o una mica menys pots menjar igual de bé en altres locals; ara bé, el servei que ofereixen no el donen a cap restaurant amb aquest nivell de preus. El servei que donen és de restaurant amb estrella, o estrelles.. Valoro molt els postres casolans, si bé es veritat que aquí considero que fan una errada. Evidentment per a preparar els postres casolans s’hi han d’estar el seu temps, però l’espera entre el segon plat i les postres es fa massa llarga. Crec que el que podrien fer és assenyalar els quatre ó cinc postres que tardin més a preparar, i en el moment que agafen la comanda podrien advertir als comensals que si volen algun d’aquests postres, l’han d’encarregar ja quan el cambrer pren la comanda. He estat en bons restaurants que ho fan així , i la veritat és que crec que és un bon sistema que evita aquestes esperes. Recomano expressament la tarta Tatin i sobretot els xuixos a la brasa amb gelat de canyella. Molt...
