The service here is at a high level. I was alone. And since all the tables were taken, I was offered to sit at the bar, but I wanted a table, I was heard and asked to wait a little until a table became available. I also liked that those who work here have a conversation with you, in which you make an order, they recommend something from themselves and everything is very organic with individual jokes and stories. Well, I felt very comfortable.
The restaurant is located on a historic pedestrian street that is very difficult to pass by. I don't really like fish, but this vibe.. when people sit at tables or stand at the bar, loudly discussing something, drinking wine, laughing and eating some small tapas. There are always a lot of people here. This is probably the most popular place in Candelaria.
All the fish tapas, snacks you could think of, they will be here. The fish can be cooked in batter, fried, salted, smoked, whatever. Tell the waiters what you like and they will offer you and make it, because there is a lot of everything here. I tried toast with shark meat and some kind of tuna carpaccio. I do not like fish very much, only maybe raw and grilled and not often. Therefore, such tapas are simply not for me. The fish here has a very pronounced taste and is quite salty. But considering the quality of all the ingredients, good wine and a wonderful dessert, I would come here again when I have an appetite...
Read moreI’m actually surprised because at the time of my review, this place was 4.6, whereas it should be an indisputable 5.0. Honestly this might be the best food I had on the island. The menu is very vast but in reality, can’t go wrong. They have an insane selection of curated fish. We had a lunch feast here, fantastic food, 10/10. Make sure you try the potatoes with tuna, gorgeous dish. Honestly take a car and come to Candelaria even just for this place. Can’t...
Read moreNice surprise, we are local and tired of tourist traps (and classics turning into tourist traps). This was a great small restaurant with very nice fried fish and nice cold drinks, very well-priced. If anything I think they miss a menu in English that explains what everything is not just translates the name, that will help those unfamiliar with the local food make better choices. I look forward to coming back, and have recommended to everyone I know...
