In our search for a decent vegetarian meal - quite the challenge in these parts - we came upon La Plaza, and we were pleasantly surprised by a (relatively) rich offering. As I understand it, since there has been a change of chef, the cooking here has significantly improved. We have eaten here six times, and we have been very pleased with what (currently) the two women in the kitchen have supplied. Andressa, especially, doubling as a waitress, makes for a very lively hostess. And, although she mainly speaks Brazilian Portuguese, she does her utmost to be helpful. Read moreWe ate here 2 nights while staying locally. On the first night I had a (chicken) Tagine which was delicious; on the second night a Wild Boar Stew that was equally good. I had a local Morcilla (blood sausage) with red peppers and cane syrup that was excellent - the morcilla was substantial with just enough ‘bite’. A local Canillas (sweet) wine finished off the meal.
