We chose this restaurant based on good reviews because we value high-quality food. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to this at all.

We went out for dinner with the family and wanted to order paella, but that turned out to be impossible “because Spaniards don’t eat it in the evening.” This wasn’t indicated anywhere and seemed strange to us, as we had been able to order paella at other places in Spain and saw Spaniards eating it in the evening as well.

I ordered grilled squid with fries, and my partner ordered ribs. The fries arrived at the same time as the kids’ meals, which we had ordered earlier, but my squid came 20 minutes later than the fries. The squid was disappointing in taste, and €19 without any sides is very expensive for the quality you get. My partner still hadn’t received his food, so I decided to wait after tasting a bit. After another 20 minutes of waiting with no food for him, we decided to ask for the bill. They removed the ribs from the bill, but not my dish, even though I could hardly eat it because it had gone cold while I waited for my partner.

Buenas tardes. La verdad es que me entristece decir algo negativo de este sitio ya que el año pasado estaba muy bien. Sin embargo, la realidad es que las tres veces que he ido a tomar algo este año ha sido decepcionante. Si sales con una mala experiencia una vez, puede que sea casualidad; tres ya no lo es tanto.

Hace un par de días, en la tarde noche, me llevé una malísima impresión. Cuando llegué con mi mujer, había muchos camareros libres pero ninguno se dignó a atendernos. Mi mujer me dijo que nos sentáramos en cualquier sitio pero yo tengo por costumbre esperar a que me indiquen donde sentarme por si hay reservas, etc.

Ahí no quedó la cosa, ya que ante el pasotismo de todos, mi mujer fue a la barra y al principio no le hicieron caso. Es más, me contó algo que si llego a darme cuenta, nos vamos para no volver nunca previo toque de atención por maleducados. A nadie le sienta bien que le ignoren y encima se rían.

La música era insufrible. No sé si era música tipo "máquina" o similar. Yo no digo de no ponerla, pero no cuesta mucho variar un poco, ya que supongo que hay gente para todos los gustos posibles...aunque alguien siempre puede decirme que si no me gusta que no vaya...es una solución, pero esa no es forma de llevar un negocio.

No sé...el ambiente el año pasado era diferente...Recuerdo a una mujer que tenía pinta de ser la encargada. Este año no la he visto (quizás casualidad) y creo que se nota a la hora de mover a los camareros, organización, amabilidad de todos...Es que se nota diferente. El año pasado estuvimos yendo desde mayo hasta casi octubre y nos encantaba; este año, lo siento de veras pero no creo que volvamos.

También recuerdo dos camareros formidables: Una chica morena y un chico delgado que trabajaban de una manera bestial. Era increíble verlos de mesa en mesa, con profesionalidad y sin perder la amabilidad, independientemente de que estuviera lleno. Como he dicho anteriormente...diferente.

He leído en otras opiniones que hay gente que viene desde Cabo de Palos y otros lugares...pero yo no lo recomendaría. Entiendo las reseñas positivas; si el sitio no está mal...pero la experiencia que teníamos del año pasado era increíble y, bajo mi humilde opinión, el nivel ha bajado.

Como no les dejen actuaciones en directo, el gran atractivo de este sitio, no sé yo qué futuro le espera a este lugar. Antes de la pandemia había otro chiringuito; yo pasaba todas las noches con la bici por ahí y no tenía mucho éxito.

Las actuaciones hicieron mucho bien...pero ojo, si el negocio no funcionara del todo, yo no me escudaría simplemente en esto, tratando de echar balones fuera señalando quién puede y quién no puede autorizar las actuaciones. Yo me centraría en las cosas que he comentado en párrafos anteriores. Y aun habría más, pero creo que es suficiente.

Ojalá me equivoque y les vaya bien...pero les aconsejo unos pequeños...

We live locally, and the last 3 times we’ve been they’ve tried to overcharge us. Tonight they changed the bill from €15 to €16 after taking our money, then told us we hadn’t paid. If you go, double check your bill!

EDIT: in response to owners reply, we had 2 large beers, the same size as we always have there, about 400ml each. The first bill was €3.50 for each beer, €5 for one wine, €3 for the other. The waiter took the bill and our €20 note, then returned with a new bill, €5 for each beer, and €3 for each wine, and asked for money again. We reminded him he’d already taken €20, and he returned with €4 change.

We can forgive the bill mistake, but we all saw him take the €20, and why bring us the change if we hadn’t paid?
