Overall a disappointing experience, and in one instance quite a shocking one too...The restaurant has a lovely setting in a spectacular and historic house. Menu looks promising, the bread is fantastic, but then it goes wrong in many ways. Service is smiling and well-meaning, but with very limited experience. The waiters speak very little english and struggles with understanding orders and customers wishes. Wine is poured directly in both glasses, without offering to taste. Fish cutlery was brought to the table after the dish was set on the table. No wine was poured during the meal, its up to the customers to serve themselves. Then the big shock...The tempura prawn has a black string of dirt in it, the stomach string has not been removed. In my opinion totally unacceptable in any restaurant, because it is a matter of hygiene and health! Tuna steak with risotto and pesto for my wife was excellent. My main course of turbot with creamy seafood rice, was destroyed by a overwhelming taste of prawn stock. The turbot is a very delicate fish and didn't survive the taste of prawns...Desserts were ok, but ice needles in homemade coconut icecream is not impressive at all. We had the lunch menu del dia to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Luckily we booked for the early sitting and it was very calm & tranquil with a lovely ambience. The food was fantastic and I was already stuffed before the puddings came out. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. The steak, which I prefer medium rare, was not overcooked.... Unusual for Spain.

We will definitely come again as it was excellent value for money. I totally recommend.

The house is very beautiful and has quite a history reminiscent of Halton House Officers Mess in Wendover. A beautiful building and gardens which in the heyday would have been amazing.

This will be a place where we bring the whole family to, and thinking about holding a celebration there for Kevin's big...

Nous sommes venus, pour deux raisons : la première concerne l'architecture de cela bel édifice. Un plaisir de pouvoir profiter d'un tel endroit, unique, hors du commun. La seconde est l'investissement du restaurant à changer régulièrement la carte. Venus en amoureux, nous avons apprécié votre menu du jour, la prestation des serveuses également : très aimables avec de bonnes manières. Les prix excercés sont très raisonnable, c'est un véritable privilège d'avoir accès à une cuisine gastronomique,dans un tel endroit, pour ces tarifs. Étant originaire de France, j'étais enchantée car ce restaurant dans mon pays d'origine,m'aurait été innacessible. Mon mari est un grand gourmand, il aurait souhaité en avoir un peu plus dans l'assiette mais je trouve que les proportions étaient équitables pour un gastro La fréquentation de l'endroit était aussi plaisante, il y avait d'autres couples, des collègues, des amis. N'ayant pas d'enfants nous avons apprécié ne pas être importunés par ceux-ci et profiter pleinement de notre entrevue amoureuse.
