Cantina La Sonora — Restaurant in Castelldefels

We came back here after two years of being back in Castelldefels, and this is offically our comfort spot! The nachos is a persistent favourite of ours - as well as the margaritas, of course :) Only one remark: we actually came to the Cantine twice during our trip, the first time we left after 10 minutes of waiting to no avail, and the second time was successful, as the pictures show :) Reagrding the first time and why we left so quickly, the only male waiter we saw greeted us welcomingly but seemed to have completely forgotten about us immediately after. He was hanging around us for a while, but just ignored us entirely, focusing instead on another group at the table near us. He said he will bring us physical menus at our request, but never did. So we just left, as we felt pretty unwanted. However, it more than made up for it the second time around, we had a lovely waitress who gave us the time of day and was attentive.

Location is a short walk from the beach. Food was delicious. I ordered the chicken tinga and it was by far the best I've ever had. Service was a bit slow but she was very busy which is understandable. And, if you're on vacation and eating outside, less than a block from the beach, you shouldn't be in a hurry anyway!

Staff was friendly and very accommodating. While I was there, a table of 8 sat down (obviously tourists) and the server remembered their order from a previous visit. Quite impressive for a busy Friday lunch. Will definitely come back next time I'm...

Visited on May 2nd, 2015. Absolutely loved this place. I took my girl here when we were on holiday. Great attention to details, food was excellent, host and server was very pleasant and wanted to balance English and Spanish together so we can push ourselves to learn more. We tried the chicken taquitos for starters with half a liter of sangria (which was done well), and she had the chicken and cheese quesadilla, and I had the steak tacos that came with potato wedges and a bit of salad.
