I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bar Restaurante El Faro in Chipiona, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening.

We started with a trio of appetizers that were simply outstanding. The Gambas al ajillo were succulent and infused with just the right amount of garlic. The Zamburiñas con crema de langostinos al ajillo offered a delightful blend of scallops with a creamy prawn garlic sauce—truly a taste sensation. The Tortillitas de camarones were crispy and packed with flavor, capturing the essence of traditional Andalusian cuisine.

For our main courses, we enjoyed two perfectly cooked tuna steaks that were both tender and flavorful. The Huevos de choco con mahonesa was a unique and delicious dish featuring cuttlefish eggs with a smooth mayonnaise—an absolute must-try! The Lasaña crujiente de centollo was another highlight, featuring crispy layers filled with rich spider crab meat.

To cap off the meal, we indulged in a white chocolate brownie with strawberry ice cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already phenomenal meal.

A special shout-out to our waiter, Eloy, who was incredibly polite and professional. His attentive service and excellent recommendations truly enhanced our dining experience.

Nowdays, I rarely go to any place without first reading the reviews. This is how hubby and I ended up here today by reading the reviews. I saw good food at an affordable prices. Also, affordable wine list. I said to hubby let's go try this place and it was all true. Honestly. I am on vacation. I don't mind paying for good fresh eating but some places are plain and simple a rip off for tourists! So I look for where locals eat and I found it here. I hope they don't change their quality food, service, environment and prices! Didn't have to wait long for someone to show up respectfully with a menu and what would you like first? Llamé para reservar el domingo de resurrección y me dijeron que hasta las 15.30h no era posible. Eran 14.30h pero decidimos aceptar. Cómo habíamos aparcado en la puerta, entré para confirmar la reserva y, en ese momento, la que aparentemente ejercía de encargada nos dijo que alguien no había hecho uso de su reserva y dado que estábamos allí que entráramos a la sala. Pedimos un carabinero que estaba delicioso. Una ración de coquinas (tellinas para nosotros). Ración más que generosa y un calamar troceado que así nos sugirió el camarero. Esperábamos que fuese a plancha y vino rebozado pero estaba muy bueno. Como plato principal elegimos un guiso de atún en tomate que estaba excelente. No tomamos postre así que pasamos a los cafés directamente. Antes de pedir la cuenta decidí ir al lavabo y nada más entrar dos jovencitas empezaron a golpear la puerta. Les dije que acababa de entrar que esperasen un momento. Ellas seguían golpeando la puerta y riéndose. Al salir les dije que eran unas ...béciles por su comportamiento. ... bécil significa falta de inteligencia, que fue lo que demostraron, además de falta de educación. Cuando volví a la mesa el padre de las niñas enfurecido y probablemente algo ebrio me increpó diciendo que no podía insultar a sus hijas. Decidí callarme para no armar más jaleo del que él estaba provocando y este señor decidió retar a pegarse en la calle a mi marido. Lógicamente, paso de él y le recordó la poca educación que demostraba. No me extiendo más por que no vale la pena describir su comportamiento pero lo que sí me molestó fue la indiferencia del personal del local. Su falta de mediación, dejando que este individuo siguiese dando el espectáculo y profiriendo amenazas (con su actuacion demostró que sus hijas no podían tener más educación que la que él estaba evidenciando). Es posible que fueran clientes habituales y por eso gozaban de patente de corso. Para nosotros era la primera vez y por supuesto la última. Espero y deseo que en el futuro sepan cuidar a sus clientes mejor. Esto no hubiese sucedido si el restaurante hubiera tenido controlado su local, ya que es el responsable de cocina,...
