Tonight me and wife booked this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, upon arrival, no extra welcome,,, but we were impressed by the ambience and decor. I was offered iPad wine list, with extensive options of wine from across the world with full descriptions and insight to all choices. I opted for a glass of Portuguese, to be told that would it be possible to have a similar bottle already open, so happy to accommodate I said yes, the wine was lovely, but extra small serving..

We both ordered, my wife loin of pork, myself fresh market fish of the day, no option to order side vegetables 🤔 and opted for desert rather than starter. Meal arrived after waiting 30 minutes, food was cold, plates were also cold, we waited for 4 minutes before waiter was in our section so we could return both meals. 15 minutes later, starving at 9.40, food was cold again, me and my wife devastated, so we ate the food in less than 4 minutes and ordered bill, €47 for pure average bland over rated menu description, which was cold and very very small, so I left €50 and left the building.

We had a wonderful experience at Rincón de Faro — a place that feels much closer to fine dining than a casual night out. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and the quality of the food was consistently high.

Most dishes were truly exceptional, crafted with care and full of flavor. The only disappointment was the fish, which felt bland in comparison to the rest of the meal — and at nearly €60 with a tomato salad, it didn’t quite justify the price. It’s not a dish I would order again, but everything else was delicious enough to bring me back.

A small suggestion would be for the kitchen to pace the dishes a bit more — a touch more time between courses would enhance the experience. Also, given the specificity of some flavors, fresh plates between each course would be a welcome improvement.
