Day 8 of our journey, Mendes is almost going home to pack his ex-wife stuff.
The first impression was very good, but nce we ordered, they only let us order one paella, Mendes states "So we go to a restaurant and we can't even order what we want, were limited, I eat one by myself, I'm gonna turn the tables around", but he calmed down when he saw a kid was crying wildly because he didn't want to leave, after all The Best in the World had just arrived, he wanted to be in his presence and comfort him with a hug, Mendes saw that and went to give him an autograph and sign his mum's breast. Not having 100% of a good place to seat, they gave to choose between bad ventilation and a good seat, or a very good ventilation but with a bad seat next to the toilet, furthermore, staff was very slow and slow in the head, The Avenger and Divorcee team almost called the one man show of Posit restaurant of the other day to take care of the situation, Mendes was almost leaving (through the window) without paying, but we convince him to stay, at the end everything takes its own rhythm.
A very positive side was John Brenthal ,(from wolf of wall Street) he was the waiter that made the reservations, we didn't know he changed careers, pleasant surprise that let Mendes super happy, his favourite movie, he mention that around 10 times.
At the end a very good paella, if you have time to spare and wait 45 minutes for one (as you can see Mendes has, look how patiently he awaits while praying not to...
Read moreI came here on a whim while I was out walking my dog at Les Rotes. The ambiance on the patio was fantastic. All shaded with trees and nets and straw umbrellas. I had a Sangria which was delicious and beautiful. For light lunch I had a couple Cocas which I'd never heard of before. One was tuna, which isn't on the menu, but it's basically the beef one except with tuna. It's like a corn tortilla, but they should actually put 2 tortillas instead of one because just like a street taco it falls apart. Delicious though!!! The other one was onion and mushroom. Thicker bread and also very tasty! The servers, including the bartender, were all very friendly, but the service was off. They really need extra people or one extra person to clean the tables so the servers can concentrate on their guests. Other than that, the place is amazing and has...
Read moreI’ll start with the good part. The view from the patio is gorgeous. The food on the other hand and the service is less than stellar. I tried to order Thai Style fish but was told that it could only be served for 2. So I ordered the “special” olives for €4. I got three not so special olives. I then ordered a Shrimp Crepe. It looked lovely but tasted very bland. The crepe was very thick and flavorless and I couldn’t find a shrimp in it to save my life. I did find a good sized fish bone. I asked the waiter where the shrimp was and it said it was shrimp and fish. When I asked for the menu - because I saw no mention of fish - sure enough it was suppose to be just shrimp. So I returned it. There was also a definitive attitude from my waiter. Maybe because I’m American or dining alone? Not sure, but not...
