Restaurant Bellavista — Restaurant in el Port de la Selva

First time ever we were met with frustration, bored-out and annoyed people who should serve your food (and trust they do not spit on your plate) in such a tourist-dependant setting. The food was nothing special but eadible as you would expect in an mediocre tourist resto, but the staff (especially the main older waiter with gray hair) was just plain rude for no good reason other than us just being tourists and not speaking fluent Spanish (we do speak fluent English, Flemish, French, German, Lingala, Nepalese so we really do try). We were a group of 8, all calm and well educated adults, but were scolded for not wanting to sit at their high bar tables. Avoid at all means. I mean come on people, just get your act together. We were looking forward to having authentic Paella. Unfortunately, we had Paella Merinere (Mediterranean Paella instead of Spanish Paella). Basically, it tasted like rice with soy sauce. We ate outside at this port restaurant at the end of July. When they brought out the Paella the flies started coming. They were terrible! When the waitress picked up the plate of shells; at least 100 flies took off from the plate.

Hi hem anat avui a fer el menú de 17€. Erem dos adults i dos nens. Hem demanat poder fer 3 menús complerts i per un dels nens poder fer 1/2 menú. En un primer moment ens han dit que no sabien si es podia fer 1/2 menú, però ho han consultat i ens han dit que si, sense problema. Per tant, hem demanat 3 primers (2 musclos i 1 calamars a l’andalusa), la qualitat i quantitat ha estat correcte. I de segon hem demanat 4 paelles (3 menús complerts i el 1/2 menu del nen). Arròs qualitat, gust, 2/5, força carn, gens gust a peix…. Quantitat força bé. Però hem menjat arròs molt més bo per menys preu en molt res altres ocasions. Postres: correctes (sense cap comentari, ni positiu, ni negatiu). Només hem fet postre 3 dels 4 que erem i hem fet 2 cafès amb gel. Compte: la gran sorpresa NEGATIVA!!!! Ens han cobrat 4 menús sencers!!! I 2 cafès amb gel!!!! Quan el nen només ha fet 1/2 menú i NO ha fet postre i ens han cobrat els 2 cafès!!!!!

Haig de dir que NO ens hem queixat, amb l’experiència ja n’hem tingut prou i evidentment No hi tornarem.

NO us el recomanem! Hem pagat 81€ i pel que hem pagat no hem menjat malament, però s’allunya molt a menjar bé!!!! Una llàstima. També afegir, que vam fer reserva per menjar a dins i ens han posat en una taula a fora, on tocava el sol a l’esquena de 2 de nosaltres i hem acabat rostides de calor. En fi….
