Giraffe World Kitchen — Restaurant in el Prat de Llobregat

Genuinely one of the WORST restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in my entire 19 years of living.

Prices and food: Ridiculous. Almost €30 for one steak. A cold, microwaved, tough, chewy, DISGUSTING steak. If you told me that the “steak” came from cows present during the signing of the Declaration of Independence, I would believe you.

Service: Clueless waiters. They came to us multiple times and asked us what we ordered. They even asked “did you order apple and orange juice” and we said yes. The waitress then followed up with “do you want them?” No. No, we ordered them for the sheer surge of adrenaline. Yes, we want our juice. They invested in a robot waiter that beeps and brings our food to us, but won’t invest in non aerodynamic geometrical 4D steaks. My steak resembled a space ship from Star Wars, and certainly tasted like one.

Never eating here again. Just to clarify: I’ve eaten at other restaurants of this chain, but it was this SPECIFIC one that really disappointed me. I would avoid visiting Barcelona again just to not have to see this so called “restaurant” again.

PS: Two ladies sat next to us sent back their food because they saw the waiters do something to it.

PPS: I will say that their fresh orange juice was quite nice, though I credit this to them having nothing to do...

Visited on 14 Feb after an early morning flight and waiting for a transfer.

Oh dear. We both had The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich and were both disappointed

Eggs were overcooked and mine was quite rubbery. Despite watching the cook in action during our visit I really can’t think my egg was fresh. If it was my knife wouldn’t cut some of the rubbery exterior so how could you cook it purposely like that. Maybe I’m wrong. The bread was dry, the avocado was a thinly spread paste, sad sausage and fries again just didn’t seem hot or fresh. So we spent €33 on two of these ultimate sandwiches and two americanos.

Well I’m no longer hungry so I guess it served a purpose but it was pretty terrible.

Service was good, staff helpful, food arrived quickly but as stated I wonder how fresh it was(n’t) environment was clean and comfortable. Coffee was good. Robot delivery raised a smile.

Tried breakfast here before flying home to Germany. Thought I would treat myself to the English breakfast as the photo looked good. Well, whoever said the camera never lies got it wrong!

What a disappointment! Poor quality ingredients poorly cooked. Tomato raw, bacon undercooked, eggs overcooked. The toast was like dried out biscuit. I asked if I could have a fresh piece and it came back just the same. In fact, the whole thing was barely edible. For the first time in many years I actually raised a complaint with the manager. He said they were struggling since Brexit to find ingredients from the UK. I get that, but you can still get great produce in Spain, and the issue was more the cooking.

To be fair, the manager refunded my money and the exchange had no rancour. I would rate my food experience here as a 1, but I appreciate that the manager was approachable and so give it an extra star for that.
