Review updated. First visit - 01.08.25 Superb evening at El Mirador. We have been visiting for many years and the quality always remains the same. We were greeted with a warm welcome as a party of 7 with two young children. Food was delicious, and very quick out of the kitchen, especially with how fresh it all was. Staff were extremely attentive and could not do enough for us. Setting was beautiful. A wide variety of foods on the menu. Portion sizes were very big. Would highly recommend.
Second visit - 08.08.25 Unfortunately our second visit this holiday was not like the first. So I have amended the scores to reflect both visits. We ordered a selection of starters for the group. However a number of items had to be sent back to the kitchen. The worst being raw chicken wings that were still frozen. The waiter who served us was incredibly apologetic. When they were then brought back out they were on the same plate, had clearly been just warmed up. We were also not given any new cutlery or plates so still had the remnants of raw chicken. Major health risk here which is concerning. The starters were then not cleared away and raw chips and one of the children’s meals brought out. We waited a further 20minutes for the other main meals so sent the food back once again. When the main meals came out they were good, much improved from the starters. It is a real shame as our first visit this holiday was so good, just like all the other times we have visited over a...
Read moreWe ate here for dinner as a family of five, (childen aged 13-22), we were seated outside with the most amazing view. The waiters were lovely, attentive but not overbearing and the food was delicious, so good that none of us stopped to take a photo of our food, not even my teenagers! The seafood pasta was incredible with an abundance of shellfish. The two pizzas were perfect, the pesto pasta delicious. The chips were fresh and crispy, as were the onion rings, and the sirloin steak was cooked to perfection of my son's 'medium' preference. Our eldest had the prawns in garlic and brandy sauce to start, which was extravagant but there were loads of king prawns (shelled) and they looked so good I had to try one and I don't actually like prawns, but I wished we'd ordered bread so I could soak up all the amazing sauce they were cooked in! We all had desserts that were just the right size and the perfect way to end a delicious meal. We were served with a complimentary liqueur at the end of the meal too. Total cost was €158 and this included 4 beers three soft drinks and a bottle of water. I've listed all the dishes and drinks so you can decide whether that's good value for money - I think it was amazing, given the beautiful setting, the service, the amazing food and not one family squabble at the dinner table, which is of...
Read moreDo not overlook this place. The view from the terrace is amazing and the staff are amazing, as is the service provided. We visited twice (as a party of 4) and enjoyed our meals on both occasions.
It would have received a five star review but one of the party had a slightly dodgy stomach after the first meal due to some pork that was slightly undercooked however that did not stop us visiting a second time…they just avoided the pork 😂 The other slight niggle that brought the rating down is the pool table which can be off-putting when people are using it while you are trying to have a meal and a conversation.
The restaurant however is well worth a visit if you’re ever...
