RESTAURANTE EL PIRATA COVES NOVES — Restaurant in es Mercadal

By far the best restaurant in Coves Noves, Arenal d'en Castell. Tony, the owner, is a great host. Very attentive, nothing too much trouble. We holidayed for 10 days and eat nearly every night here. The kebabs are massive, very succulent and absolutely delicious. As were the curries, from mild to spicy hot). We tried lots of the different choices on the menu. We also had a late breakfast (which we really chose to have as lunch). You could have a full English or half English. The half English was just as filling. The jazz music in the background is great. Not too loud but loud enough to hear over the top of other diners talking. Prices are very reasonable. We were also given a free plate of cheesy nachos with sweet chilli sauce just before our main meals came up, which was such a lovely touch. We spent a bit more than the norm as we always had cocktails and at the end of every meal Tony came out with the cold shot glasses and we had 2 shots each. Nearly always a different shot everytime and on the house (salut Tony). It was obvious the El Pirata was the best as the other restaurants in the area hardly had anyone in them and they shut early. We thoroughly enjoyed our times there and we always left with big smiles on our faces and we spoke about the lovely meal we had just had. fantastic place to chill and enjoy a lovely meal, my husband had a steak and it was cooked to perfection and the previous day he had a full English breakfast and said it was one of the best he had in a long time. Me and my family whet your this restaurant last week. I had a birthday meal there and then we went back two or three times after that. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. The guy that owns the place cannot do enough for you then the staff unlike other places iv been to in the world actually seem like they want to be at work they are spot on no faults at all.
