Doble — Restaurant in Esporles

Well we were staying in the town for four days. We went to this café twice once before a walk where we bought a nice hot cheese sandwich and a cup of very nice takeaway coffee. This only came to about €12 the next day we thought as it was our last day and we were going to be travelling, we would buy a couple of their beef sandwiches and a coffee we thought we would eat them outside, and when they came, they were very nice and the coffee was okay too. We were about to leave and we got the bill which was €34!! We were in a state of shock and so embarrassed, we did express our shock and surprise, but the waitress didn’t say that it was a mistake and the receipt said that’s what we ordered. I should’ve gone into complain, but I had a bus to catch and there’s kind of upset us for the rest of the afternoon. It was such a shame because everything else in our four days stay in Esporles was amazing. If the proprietor of this establishment sees this review and wants to give me a bit of a refund, I’d be very grateful.

The reply below - I can’t reply to a reply - correctly adds up the bill but this was not the point. We knew it wasn’t a mistake. Just a shock at how expensive with us having had no warning. We could have had two actual hot and played meals for this...

Small coffee shop offering top quality specialty coffee. I was in the area and saw this cafe that I hadn’t seen last time I was visiting Mallorca. The feel of the cafe is a bit off. Its a bit contemporary with a lot of white but when you first step inside the layout feels strange. It feels as though they have not fully utilized the space with the small tables, lack of decoration on walls, and white light. The coffee was very good. It wasn’t busy when I stopped by but the service was incredibly slow all though they had three people on staff. They have pastries on display as well a menu you can order from the kitchen. It’s a decent place if you are passing by and want a good coffee. Because it is one of the only places in the area they’re able to charge things higher than the specialty...

Absolutely unacceptable. We made a special detour during our trip to Valdemossa just to visit this coffee shop because of all the glowing reviews. We were genuinely excited and looking forward to a great experience. According to their posted opening hours, they were supposed to be open, but when we arrived, the place was completely shut, without any explanation. No sign, no notice online, nothing. Just a locked door.

Our whole group was outraged. We rearranged our day for this and ended up completely disappointed. If you can’t stick to your opening hours, the least you can do is communicate. Hugely unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who make the effort to come all...
