We were diehard customers of Mason La Villa in Palma but since it's closed, we went back to the one in Esporles.
Famous for its suckling pig from Segovia and baby lamb roasted in a clay oven, the results are delicious. Spicy potatoes and salad accompany the meal perfectly, but not included in the price. The homemade bread is served warm with olives and pork crackling, the wine list is selective.
La Villa is a tad expensive but you won't find another restaurant which specialises in Castilian roasts like the do.
Good service and friendly faces, but don't forget to reserve your table a week in advance...it's very popular and not so big.

The fact that this amazing little place is packed with locals and was turning all the numerous walk-ins away on a bright Saturday in November gives an indication of the reputation it has for its food and atmosphere. Mainly there are two things to choose; suckling pig or slow cooked lamb. Of course there are many carefully prepared delicious appetisers but anyone with a “normal” appetite will struggle with anything more than a “porçion” of pork/lamb, so make sure you have left enough room.

No aceptan niños!!
¡En 2024 no podía esperar semejante humillación!
Yo, mi marido, nuestro hijo y un amigo de la familia decidimos probar la famosa "La villa", reconocida en el pueblo de Esporles por sus tradiciones culinarias.
La ubicación te transporta al pasado, muy bonita, y están muy atentos a cada pequeño detalle.
Servicio de comedor de primer nivel hasta que fuimos interrumpidos bruscamente por un personal de comedor (sin tiempo porque estábamos hablando entre nosotros) que me dijo personalmente como madre “a los niños hay que educarlos desde pequeños”.
Despues de unos minutos, Le dije amablemente que mi hijo estaba jugando afuera en la calle y no pensé que me estuviera molestando, y este señor insiste y sigue hablando...
En ese momento lo dejé pero después mi esposo, nuestro amigo y yo nos sentimos MUY HUMILLADOS y entonces decidimos irnos, porque no podemos aceptar el hecho de que hoy todavía tenemos estos límites mentales de 50 años y pasados. '!
Así que si sois una familia con niños no vayáis a este lugar porque los niños no son bienvenidos y os pedirán que os marchéis muy fácilmente...
Por cierto, nosotros también vivimos en Esporles y la mayoría de la gente de aquí cree firmemente que la riqueza de esta gente son precisamente los niños.
Nunca nos habíamos sentido tan avergonzados como en este restaurante.
