Restaurant Juquim — Restaurant in Espot

Fantastic! We went there twice and were amazed both times. The first night they were the only restaurant in town open and the place was jam-packed. Impressively, the service was prompt and friendly. I had the Cuixa (local boar) steak and it was incredible - perfectly prepared, tender, flavorful and not at all "gamey". I have had boar in four countries and nothing compared to this. The next night I had the Setas, a dish of locally harvested mushrooms and a cream sauce - devine! Meals are served with local bread and olives, which are both great. They have lots of beer, wine and a full bar too....

Large portions of delicious mountain food, with horse, boar, quail and the most hearty soup at affordable prices. We ski every season at Espot and when friends visit, we usually bring them here. Service is friendly, but definitely don’t come here when you’re in a rush!

Our favorites: olla pallaresa, paté, wild boar stew (civet) and wild boar leg steak. Grilled vegetables that accompany some of the mains are incredible.

Great place! The menu is written in Catalan, Spanish, English and French which is very convenient, offers really tasty meals for a very reasonable price. The service was amazing, thanks to our waiter, Ivan, who was so nice and friendly and always had a smile to his face.
