Best kept secret of Estella, a stop en route Camino Frances . Spacious restaurant with outside seating area ( patio) towards the back of the restaurant adjacent to Ega River, with a view of the historic Puente de la Picuda bridge. We were a group of six, welcomed warmly by a lovely lady called Carmen who was the owner of the establishment . We ordered drinks which were served promptly . The recommendation of wine - Prado de Irache was superb . One of us was vegetarian and the tomato feo de tudela ( giant tomato salad) served was delicious. We ordered gambas, meatballs, lasagne, hamburgers. All the dishes were prepared to the highest standard using home grown ingredients , locally sourced out at Estella and neighbouring places . Dessert - violet flower sundae and tiramisu- truly divine . Service was first class and ambience incredible. This place stood out of all other places we had food along the Camino route from Pamplona to Logroño. Special thanks to the waitress Oihane, who had a pleasant demeanour and had lot of knowledge and patience to explain to the English speaking peregrinos. Overall a 5 Star experience, highly recommend...

The waiter brought & refilled a bread basket for the table throughout the meal. When we got our check, we were charged for every single piece of bread. Incredibly unethical to charge for seemingly complimentary bread. Or at least, tell us that it isn’t free so we can make our own decision. Have never experienced something like this in Spain so far.
When we went to pay, I asked to pay in Euros. I saw the waiter click USD instead of Euros on the screen which ended up having a store markup. When we complained, they lied and said it was automatic. We literally saw the two options. Just admit the mistake — don’t lie. We were so confused as to why they were...
Read moreWe had dinner here, sat outside overlooking a stream/river which was lovely. The food was very well priced, good portions and they do have a very good offer of three courses for €12. Service was efficient and the staff try very hard with translation for you. A bit of a bug bare of ours was that it is clearly very popular for the pilgrims visiting the local area, who when we visited being sat next a large group with some Americans/Canadians were incredibly loud and obnoxious when your trying to have a conversation and nice relaxing meal. I appreciate this isn’t necessarily anything the restaurant have any control over but it’s something...
