We stopped in this charming village by chance and decided to have dinner at this very nice looking restaurant. The very nice location is somewhat balanced back by the quality of the food: the majillones marinera were not fresh at all, even looking like reheated, while the grilled salmon was raw and tasteless. The wandering cat did not want to eat the salmon skin - I wonder why. In addition, we had the Pan&aioli put directly on the table without having asked for it - which were also added to the note - 4.20 Eur. Overall - nice location, not so good food - so either you stop for a glass of wine - or you go to eat at the village taverna where the food looked much better.

Stopped by to have some dessert with a friend and we didn't have a nice experience. We didn't have a reservation so when we arrived, we were sat at a table on a slope, behind the wall. The waitresses were not nice at all, some were even unfriendly and giving weird looks. We felt uncomfortable. They didn't even bring us napkins. The dessert was definitely nothing special, especially for the price. It was basically canned apricot with chocolate ice cream, and the plate was missing the jam (which it should have contained according to the menu).

Great food, very nice staff. Went there twice and the second time they even remembered our dietary restrictions. My wife is a vegetarian and has a gluten intolerance. The restaurant had atleast 3 dishes for her to choose from. The stuffed paprika was so good it made me almost want to not have my rabbit (also delicious). The second time around we had the vegetariam paella and it was so good that we're still thinking about it. Would highly recommend it. Thinking of going again to try the lamb leg which looked very very tempting.

Luckily we had walked past the Montimar, I called them and they had a table for us…and it was great!

Firstly, it’s a beautiful place very calm, but with a great atmosphere.

We found the service to be first-class throughout from every member of staff that we had interaction with. I also really liked the fact that they kept to Spanish instead of us being lazy with our English!! Everything was delivered with style.

Coming to the food…we all enjoyed the bread with olives and alioli. Then both mum and I opted to start with the rabbit pate with fig jam, which was really splendid, my wife had the mussels which she said were very fresh and in a very nice broth. For the mains: my wife chose the sardines, which again very fresh and delicious, mum had the grilled Mallorcan fish, she absolutely enjoyed it! Coming to mine I often find it hard not to choose a peppercorn steak when it’s on the menu and I am so pleased that I ordered it here, it honestly was the best I’ve had in a long, long time! The meat was succulent and cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce has actually left me craving it for more!!!

I never really order a dessert when I’m out, but, I’d enjoyed the meal so much that I had one, maybe just to prolong the perfect evening! I had the cream caramel, delicious and mum had the stuffed apricots with ice cream, she really liked it.

We also found the wine was super, my wife loves Verdejo and this one was so good she’s been looking for it since! (I’ll post a photo of the label at the end of the review)

Lastly, the owner (and chef) even visited our table to understand if we’d enjoyed our evening, great touch of style I thought.

We’ll definitely be back as we live here and it’s one of the favourite meals I’ve had for sometime (and we eat out, a lot!)

Highly...

Man muss wissen was man will wenn man ein...
