I would NEVER normally write a review like this. I would have preferred to write directly to the venue as negative reviews are hard to come back from. However in this case there is no email address on the website to contact except for their other venues. So unfortunately for Beso beach Estepona I have no choice but to rant here. This venue was such an obvious and offensive rip off that I had to write something. After eating a few starters to share we were not that hungry so our waiter suggested a small fish for 2 to share between three. This sounded like a good idea until Moby Dick was slapped on the table. At 1.7kgs who in their right mind would serve that for 2! It was a fish for 6 people. They never showed us the fish before hand and when we queried why it was so big they said 'it's all we had!'. At 100€ per KG it was offensive especially as the waiter took it back to the kitchen 3 times until it was actually cooked and no longer raw in the middle. But the final straw in knowing that they deliberately tried to rip us off was the way they had the cheek to suggest a recommended tip up to 18% and stated 'NO SERVICE CHARGE INCLUDED' whilst sneakily hiding a 36€ service charge in the middle of the bill that most people would normally miss. Yes they did offer us a free glass of cava to make up for the raw fish but after requesting the bill 4 times we didn't have time to enjoy it. It's a shame, beautiful setting and lovely decor but it's the deceitfulness at all stages that will ensure we never return. Also a message to the manager. Please do not serve paella and fish at the customers table in bare feet. It's not trendy or cool, it's simply off-putting. With these prices I'm sure you can afford a pair of flip flops.

I wish we’d read the reviews first before we came to this place. For the usual food, like tuna tartar, they charge price twice higher than in a typical chiringuito. Champagne 🍾 costs twice higher than in a decent restaurant, 140 euros when normally you order a bottle for 60-70 euros. They have tables standing on the sand and for that you pay double?! First when you start to order you get recommendation right away to get the lobster dish for 140 euros. Coffee 4 euros, a scoop of icecream 4 euros, small water 4,50! What an extortion!!! Music is too loud that I’ve got a headache. Customers - mostly tourists or foreigners. I don’t think that locals ever go to this predatory place. Avoid that!

Just a short distance from Laguna village. Far too expensive for us. We just dropped in to see what's there and a coffee or sandwich. But €11 for 2 bottles of water! Couldn't find that on the menu. Expensive menu, mainly seafood. I'm sure when the music gets going it's great. But it's just tables and chairs on the beach and a music set up, partially under cover. Hey if you want to spend a lot of cash.... drop in! Not for the regular customer.

We visited Beso Estepona on Sunday 11th June. We have been to the Ibiza beso so we’re expecting the same service, food etc. However, this place is just not worth visiting at all. If you compare the prices, service, menu etc to something like El Chiringuito at the Puente Romano Hotel in Marbella, or Casanis Plage in Marbella - clearly two places that Beso should be in direct competition with - there is just no comparison. The service was quite simply awful, with the staff clearly being bonused on pushing caviar or truffle on every dish, which is so annoying. When the bill finally came there was a discrepancy with the paella that was ordered (basically 180€ for a paella with a. Sea bass on top) and the manager was trying to deal with the situation whilst the waiter stood there arguing with him and us. Basically the waiter over ordered (we asked for a single Paella and he turned up with two paellas for at least 8 people) and then refused to send on back, and after complaining he said once it touches your table it’s yours!

This was a Sunday afternoon and the place was a quarter full, and by 7pm we were the only table left, and at 8pm it closed and all the staff left with us on a table to finish our drinks.

Another ridiculous example of how far away from reality these people are, is the 20% service charge added to your bill to be served on the beach! It’s not even a discretionary charge. Who does this??!

Apart from all of the above, the location is not great, on a bad beach, but this could easily be overcome by giving great service and just nit trying to rip clients off at every given opportunity. We have never left a restaurant and felt so angry the day after.

We have seen many restaurants come and go in marbella and estepona over the last 20 years, and there is no way this place will last. There are so many better options for lunch, dinner or drinks, so don’t be fooled by the Beso name, and this place should be ashamed to use the name...

One of the worse restaurant I have ever experience in Marbella. I order a Paella Lobster something very Spanish and traditional, then my food arrived with a lot of salt, I suer, I have two spoons of bites and I was already to puke. Too much salt. I only eat the lobster that was overcooked but at least not salted inside . I called the waitress to telling him how salt was and for him to take it to the kitchen and asked his chef if he lost his taste because was terrible salted. He coming back and confirm to me that was very salt and I was right. But even if I was right he didn’t offer me anything else’s or so. I asked the bill because I was very upset and I could not stayed any longer there as I could had start arguing. they look each others but don’t want fixed anything or try to make us happy or offering anything else’s. They all looking at me with no idea what to do. I pay 120€ and I haven’t eat anything. They didn’t even given me a bill discount or anything that could say sorry for that. They saw I couldn’t eat and not even my husband. I will not recommend this place. It’s expensive the dishes and it’s very windy, noise and they want something good, started from the behaviour and make sure you can learn from others that put a salted price in a menu and serving it to your customers eat not going to make your business work in this place. Sooner or late you gonna loosen. And definitely I will not coming back! I send 10 emails for the manager because I want my refund but I hadn’t answering back. I assume they don’t care. Lucky will not be coz the reviews here is almost...
